Fedi is the most strange thing in the world.

On normal social media, you write a message and people just ignore it forever.

Here, you write a message, it stays ignored for 1 or 2 years, and then all of a sudden, for no reason, with no explanation, someone finds it somehow, boosts it, and it gets 200 likes and 120 boosts.

What the fuck.

I'm sure someone will boost this message in 2021 or 2022.

Very interesting idea. I've so far had quite mixed - verging on poor - results, but the potential here is amazing. Particularly if my photography skills were better and I had eyes to do meaningful labels, perhaps I'd be seeing much better ones. Will investigate further. But what an absolutely brilliant concept this is.

@FreakyFwoof I tried with my thermostat, but it's stuck on the wall in deep shadow so couldn't get a good picture.
I then picked something I already knew the layout of, specifically my cordless phone handset. it got a lot of the buttons right and detected my finger. But of course there are a lot of small buttons in a comparatively small space. I got told I was on the 2 when I was on the 5 a few times, for instance.
And it uses the default Daniel voice at the default rate fr me.yeck.
but huge props so far, early version, exciting potential.

I recently learned that it is super easy to run your own #UnifiedPush server if you already have a #NextCloud:
- Install the UnifiedPush Provider app in the NextCloud

Took me like 5 min and now my #Tusky push notifications go through my own server, how cool is that
