There is no grey area here. There is no angle parking.

This really started to become a problem around 2017... it's almost like Projet Montréal people encourage this shite.

I remember visiting friends on the plateau and bringing a shovel to dig our own parking spot... WTAF IS THE PROBLEM?!?

I've seen this angle parking BS from a lot of university students from out-of-province, or family visiting from the USA. It's ridiculous.

HEAD’S UP: Do not allow browser notifications at dodgy sites!

My daughter was on my computer, using Microsoft Edge, was visiting one of her fansites, and she allowed a dodgy pop-up notification.

This resulted in Edge sending pop-up notifications to the notification bar that kept saying my computer had a virus. No matter how many times I clicked it to go away, the pop-up would keep appearing. And each time I clicked on it, it would take me to a dodgy site urging me to download “anti-virus software”.

So I did an anti-virus scan to see if there was a virus. No viruses detected. Turns out, after additional troubleshooting, I discovered there was not virus. It was just a browser notification. By turning off that notification, the pop-up finally went away.

I had a long talk with my daughter about not clicking everything she sees, and I think this is a lesson everyone should learn.

Attached image is that annoying pop-up. And by the way, Microsoft, allowing browser notifications to appear in the system notification bar is beyond stupid!

There are some serious reasons why you still need to be on Meta platforms: it's your last link to family members, or your support system, or you live in a small town.

I wrote about how to stay on while limiting Meta's ability to surveil you or use your information against you.

tl;dr Boring users, who don't generate clicks or behavioral data, are unprofitable users.

Auto-generated sign language has been very difficult to create. I'm hopeful that advancements in AI will lead to auto-generated sign language becoming ubiquitous in the next 15 years. However, it is important to remember that auto-generated sign language like captions will probably never be 100% accurate. There should be a way to edit auto-generated sign language in the future. • Digits: 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
• Uppercase letters: A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z
• Space
• Symbols: $ % * + - . / :

That’s why uppercase URLs produce smaller QR codes than lowercase URLs.
