what surprises me is the number of fast typers. Over half of the responses do 100 WPM or more. I just did a test and only did 87 WPM, and I don't know so many people who type noticeably faster than me.
(This keyboard is not great, but I think I've never tested over 100 WPM, 90+ is my max.)
@coder It's been a long time since I tested. Maybe I can't do >100 anymore. I started typing very little, around 7 or 8. But I may be slowing down with age.

Fresh off the press: Transition Technologies, the Polish company behind everything with Seeing Assistant in the name, have done it again. Seeing Assistant Go is their brand-new navigation app that improves on the previous Move offering. Most of the features you know are there plus a few additions. There is a simple as well as an advanced mode with a couple more settings and options. You can explore all of the OSM tags for a point which lets you find out pretty useful things e.g. does a pavement have tactile flooring or do the traffic lights have acoustic signalling. The navigation no longer provides instructions based on clock-wise or compass directions but rather you turn around with the phone in your hand and once you hear the assigned sound, you know you have found the direction and then carry on straight. This one will need a bit of getting used to but I was told by an experienced blind tester of the app it actually works once you got the hang of it. As far as I know, a blind developer and user of navigation apps is involved full-time in the project. The Seeing Assistant Go app supports the spatial orientation of blind and visually impaired people. It provides information about the surroundings using synthetic speech, sounds, vibrations and pointing in the direction of the top of the phone.
There used to be an iOS app, nearby explorer online, which sort of did this as well. You spun your phone in a circle, and it would vibrate when you pointed your phone at the target as the crow flies, somewhat similar to how a lot of videogame nav assists work actually :) It does work surprisingly well particularly in cities that work off a grid system, as you can figure out what general way you're meant to go and then find a side street that goes that way. I'll have to try this out

I was very much surprised that they came out with the app but its cool that they did, because today especially on Android you don't have to many choyces for blind gps apps.
@ZBennoui I'm one of the many who's testing Seein Assystent Go. Plus, I'm translating this app into Spanish. Hope one of the translations are added to the app so I can use it. It's a plus for me translating this app since I bring more people to this new software. Maybe I'm the only spanish-speaking person using this app, maybe not.
