CNIB Beyond Print. is currently seeking volunteers to aid them with Braille services.
Only a small fraction of published material exists in braille. You can help change that — and make a real difference in people’s lives. As a Braille Volunteer,
you’ll:

• Learn to transcribe print into Unified English Braille (UEB)
• Help people who are blind or partially sighted access education, pursue employment, and enjoy greater independence
• Join a supportive community dedicated to literacy and inclusion

• Free, 8-month training program (~15 hrs/week)
• Formal certification in Unified English Braille

Who we’re looking for:

• Strong English skills (French an asset)
• Comfortable with computers (Windows PC required)
• Passion for literacy, accessibility, and long-term volunteer commitment (minimum 3 years including a weekly shift at CNIB’s HQ in Toronto
