I estimate it is going to take at least a year, possibly 2 or 3 to fully move over to a new account, there are literally thousands of accounts registered with my gmail account I need to update.I can't sit and just do this, it's painful, so it has to be as and when I come to use the service and have some spare time. It's a serious challenge.
I know rule 1 of datasets is "it will be imported into excel at one point" but please, if you are a researcher, don't use excel but find a scripting language that fits your usecase instead. R, python, julia, heck even matlab or mathematica.

Surprised to see that the browser is working, but History could not be loaded and the app might require a dedicated Menu hardware button (present on very old Android phones) to access some features. Tested on Android 13.

If so: good to see it's still working per-se (and according to a poll I made a few weeks ago, there are still people around running such old devices). I wondered if I should mention it at all or move it straight to Archive, just for "security's sake" alone (a web browser not updated for 11 years!)

Yep it’s the Zirco Browser. Modern Android uses Chrome’s WebView so that should not be much of a security concern (HTTPS support and so on).
I’d recommend to put it into the archive because they may have hidden features (can’t confirm yet without looking back at the source code) which might be accessible using the physical Menu button. The button is no longer anymore and Android removed the functionality (emulated by tap and hold the app switcher button) in Android 9 and above.
I think the worst part of F-droid and Izzy is that old and adandoned software isn't filtered. If something isn't updated for 1-2 years i'll consider it abandonware. I'll think that those Softwares should be removed and not displayed unless the user actively opts in for that.

And "not updated for X" doesn't necessarily mean "abandonware" – it can also mean "mature". You know, never run a changing system, or how did the saying go? If there's nothing to change, why make an update? It's more to it than just age. Or is any human "useless" when reaching 60+ (or any age of your choosing)? 😉
That said, an old wine (or "similar beverage") not touched for XX years… 😋
@Apan just as an after-thought (only saw the possible connection AFTER having answered): that's something you might wish to raise in the issue tracker of your favorite F-Droid client. It could indeed be useful to "filter by age", but that's something the client(s) should do. I do not see such an option either in the official F-Droid client, nor with NeoStore.
