To není nic proti Vágnerovi, ale proti těm dvěma nenovinářům, kteří udělají rozhovor s každým, kdo jim přivede odběratele a jim to vydělá prachy. Kdyby žil Hitler, byl by u nich v podcastu jako vážený host. Pardon, nemám tyhle mladé fracky rád.

Situaci snadného šíření informací i možnosti na tom vydělávat už dávno začala využívat dezinformační média, která přišla s „metodou míchání jablek s hruškama“, kdy se za pomoci rozhovoru se slavným či veřejností uznávaným člověkem snaží konzumenty internetu nalákat k návštěvě jejich odporného média.
Mediálně negramotný konzument, a těch je naprostá většina v populaci, si totiž nezjišťuje to, s kým má tu čest, komu médium patří a k čemu neznámé médium slouží, většinový konzument jde jen za nabídnutým lákavým tématem.
Jsou věci, které je nutné, aby se děcka učila už ve škole, aby se trénovala v kritickém myšlení, aby se naučila odmítat všechny podvodníky internetu, kteří si hrají na novináře, ale ve skutečnosti to jsou prachsprostí nýmandi a podvodníci porušující veškerá pravidla, například platná pro vedení rozhovoru.
Dnešní mladí tvůrci obsahu internetových médií poučení studiem marketingu a možnostmi vydělávat na sledovanosti nezastaví žádná morální záklopka, tyhle už zajímají jen peníze a lajky...
Konec klasické žurnalistiky je začátkem konce demokracie. Proto je nutná regulace takové činnosti:
Nová média jsou také média, a proto pro ně musí platit pravidla stejná jako pro média tištěná a vysílací. Chceš si hrát na žurnalistiku? Pak se musíš řídit pravidly pro žurnalistiku a musíš být za šíření propagandy, manipulací, lží a skryté reklamy a nekalý prodej postižitelný. Nejde o cenzuru, ale o stará dobrá pravidla, jaká platí pro tištěná a vysílací média.
To se ale mladým i starým tvůrcům pochybného mediálního obsahu vydělávajícím na internetu nelíbí a začali křičet, když se RRTV začala o jejich činnost zajímat, neb se ČR již před mnoha lety zavázala dodržovat pravidla Českou republikou odsouhlasená v Parlamentu EU, ČR, která jako vždy od tohoto odsouhlasení pravidel spala jak Šípková Růženka, aby se nyní těsně před uplynutím překlenovací doby probudila a začala zmatkovat.
Úředníci RRTV mají totiž máslo na hlavě, protože nechali v ČR bez jakéhokoli svého zájmu vyrůst generaci namachrovaných egoistických hvězd internetového obsahu s obrovským dosahem, kterým se teď snaží nešťastnou formou sdělit, že se musí ze zákona registrovat a že budou podléhat stejnému dohledu, jaký platí pro šiřitele médií na vyžádání (Media-on-demand).
A tak jsme nyní svědky toho, jak se tito tvůrci internetového audiovizuálního obsahu (často velmi pochybným a s obrovským dosahem a zajímavými finančními příjmy) snaží přesvědčit veřejnost i politiky, že nejsou tvůrci mediálního obsahu... Klasický český kašpárkov plný emocí, polopravd, manipulací a lží.
Šiřitelé dezinformací a konspirací v jednom šiku s tvůrci obsahu pro pražskou kavárnu v boji proti RRTV. Prostě bizár, který vypovídá nejen o mediální gramotnosti zdejší populace, ale též bizár, který ilustruje právní gramotnost tvůrců internetového mediálního obsahu. Emoce místo fakt. A též odpor lidí vydělávajících velké a snadné peníze na internetu platit daň z příjmu.

I see Rust 1.83 was released today. [1] The major focus seems to be on enabling more things in const context. It'll be interesting to see how this might allow more logic [2] to be shifted from program startup time to compile time.
I think mostly the advantage is just that it's super annoying to have weird limitations on what you can do in a const context, rather than it actually being a load-bearing performance thing, usually. Execution at compile time can have significant downsides too, mostly compile time, so I don't expect very much stuff to actually become more tractable to precompute in that way.

I agree about C++. But writing a whole desktop application in Rust is looking more and more tractable. Maybe someday I'll actually ship a non-trivial application that's a stand-alone executable and starts instantly, like I've always dreamed of doing.
Would you please add alt text to your images? There are many blind people on Mastodon who use screen readers that will miss out on the imagery if they're not described.
@DavidGoldfield I wish there were an AI shortcut for this which I could read and adjust before posting. I find myself getting caught up in incredibly detailed descriptions when I do this and it's very time-consuming. I want to do it justice or not do it at all. I'm hitting many bugs in @Tutanota these days. Typically, just this morning when I opened the Mail Android app, I got "Error message: You forgot to migrate your databases! sys.version should be >= 114 but in db it is 112", and a "404 Not Found" on a calendar event. For this last one, it's probably because I deleted the event from the Tuta Calendar app, but it didn't stop it from displaying a reminder for the deleted event... And the unread email counter is constantly wrong 😫
Bugs and more bugs. Impossible to open the Calendar app after the latest update (v256.241211.0 from F-Droid). I had to log out + delete the app's data, and then log back in. Also, I just edited a weekly event to make it stop at a certain date. The updated event was sent to my guests, but I still see the next occurrences, which means I cannot make it stop... And I got two reminders this morning for a deleted event...
Thanks for your feedback, but we were not able to reproduce these issues. About the updated event, did you make sure to select "Update all events"? Hope this helps!
Hi. Yes, I did select "Update all events", and it actually seems to work now. I think there was a long delay. I suspect it's linked to a shared calendar I recently imported via the new "From URL" import feature. Typically, yesterday, I opened the Calendar app and added a new event. After clicking on "Save", I couldn't see the new event in question. I thought it didn't work, but it appeared like 30 seconds later, after the top loading bar reached the end.
Regarding the impossibility to open the Calendar app, I couldn't send a crash report as it happened before being logged in, and I didn't copy the stack trace. And for the two reminders of a deleted event, I logged out from all my accounts from both the Email and Calendar apps, deleted the apps' data, and logged back in. Let's see if it happens again.
Just to let you know that I got 2 reminders this morning for the deleted event I've already mentioned. Deleting the Calendar app's data and logging back in didn't fix the issue.
I sometimes get a 404 error for a calendar-related URL. A PUT request if I remember well. It's maybe linked to the same issue. I'll try to pay attention to the event ID in the URL, to see if it's always about the same event, and let you know.

I just started grad school this fall after a few years away from school and man | did not realize how dire the A/LLM situation is in universities now. In the past few weeks:
* I chatted with a classmate about how it was going to be a tight timeline on a project for a programming class. He responded "Yeah, at least if we run short on time, we can just ask chatGPT to finish it for us”
* One of my professors pulled up chatGPT on the screen to show us how it can sometimes do our homework problems for us and showed how she thanks it after asking it questions "in case it takes over some day."
* l asked one of my TAs in @ math class to explain how a piece of code he had written worked in an assignment. He looked at it for about 15 seconds then went "I don't know, ask chatGPT"
* A student in my math group insisted he was right on an answer to a problem. When | asked where he got that info, he sent me a screenshot of Google gemini giving just blatantly wrong info. He stillinsisted he was right when | pointed this out and refused to click into any of the actual web pages.
* A different student in my math class told me he pays $20 per month for the “computational” version of chatGPT, which he uses for all of his classes and PhD research. The computational version is worth it, he says, because it is wrong "less often’. He uses chatGPT for all his homework and can't figure out why he's struggling on exams.
