Oh cool. VS Code can work with Github repos directly. I don't actually have to git clone them. Also they've changed some of the Alt Function keys around Linux, so Alt + F2 is changed to Alt + Shift + F4 or so.
Komplete users: I haven't set up Komplete Kontrol from scratch for a long time. I just downloaded every plugin I owned and squished them onto a secondary SSD in this new machine. And now, if I try to add the KK plugin and hit the browser button, I get the "file types" selector, and no results at all after that. Is there a really basic thing I've forgotten to do? Does Reaper need to be able to see all the plug-ins if I want to actually use them?
Hey, it's been a while for me as well so I'm not entirely sure, but I don't remember you need to do anything special other than opening the standalone app to make sure it scans all your libraries properly. @ZBennoui Thanks, I didn't know about that server, only the various WhatsApp groups. I did open the app, but it tried to hog my sound device and I never actually verified that it had scanned through everything. I definitely opened preferences and re-scanned though. i'll try again.
You also need to add a plugin directory to KK stand-alone if you've installed your plugins to a non-standard directory. That's currently the one of the few items in KK stand-alone that is totally inaccessible and will require eyeballs. Reminds me, that calls for an issue submission for ReaHotkey since that item currently lacks a mapping - wondering if it's a difficult one to map when compared to the fixed-place items in the preferences screen.

Why the fuck is that still inaccessible, and why the fuck is Komplete Kontrol not able to talk to Native Access and figure out where my plug-ins are stored? Do you know what the original path is? I could always just make a symlink, I guess.
@jackf723 If your VST plug-ins are on a secondary drive, though, you'll definitely want to make some kind of symlink or mirror to Program Files\Common Files\VST3, as this is the system standard path on Windows and that's where hosts will expect to find it. REAPER can cope with them in other dirs, it doesn't care much, but you never know what might.
@x0 Regarding ReaHotkey: I wonder if the Add Plugin button is a difficult icon to pin down. I know even Aira has to hunt and peck for it whenever I do it. Paging @ToniBarth since Mataj isn't on here as far as I know.

This is embarrassing to see late in 2025. It is still common in many western systems. Like it were so difficult to check those are valid letters from used alphabet.
And this makes me happy to be living in the future, because I think the last time I did this was 3-4 years ago.
When I was growing up, replacing bulbs was something that we did at least once a week.
When I moved into a shared house as a student, we were replacing at least one bulb a month. Around then, CFL subsidies came in and the cost of a CFL dropped to about the same price as one month's power consumption for an incandescent bulb, so we replaced all of them, and then didn't change a single bulb for the next two years I was in that house. The next house (which I lived in for around 5 years) also used CFLs and they would gradually have lower peak brightness so would get moved around to places that didn't need as much light.
We have LEDs here now, and they don't seem to fade. I think this is the first one to fail in 8 years (we did bring some older CFLs, which gradually died and were replaced). I'll see if this is a pattern (do they all fail after 8ish years, or was this an outlier?).

I'm not entirely sure why exactly this is, but Paperback's Rust epub parser loads Worm, a nearly 1.7 million word Epub, six to seven hundred MS faster than the C++ one did. For once users will notice all the internal dev work, at least somewhat haha.
Well, I'm relieved that the Rust parser isn't *slower*, particularly since you advertise load speed as a feature of Paperback. My guess is that the C++ parser has to do more defensive copying to avoid memory safety issues.

Based on experience, it takes roughly a minute to fry a pancake, and one person can easily handle two frying pans. With five people making pancakes concurrently, that's about 10 pancakes a minute, or about 600 per hour. That should be enough even for a large party.
Pancakes are best served right after they're made. Otherwise it's possible to make a big stack before hand and keep them warm until served.

This list and the room/BoF are good ideas. Unfortunately, it will be difficult for me to get the budget to travel there without funding or an invitation from a sponsor or organization. I don't have one yet, but if that changes, I'll make sure to join the list.
I genuinely love software, when it works. I've just configured some stuff in order to scrobble music I listen to basically everywhere, Windows Browser, Windows Foobar, any app on Android, and Spotify to last.fm again.
Also will use some cli programs to transfer my Spotify playlists over to Tidal to then download that music in best quality flac. It's monday but I finally feel a bit competent and productive again.
We'll be sharing a stand with @shiftphones and @BlissLabs, showing just what a great experience our little corner of #Android can be.
Repairable devices, a FOSS #AOSP ROM and an "app store" (or repository if you prefer) for all the privacy and user respecting apps you could want to run on it :)
Of course the teamwork doesn't end there, we'll love to tell you more at the stand :)
