You know, when I saw the Thermaltake Challenger combo discounted, I had to grab one.

The QR code on the package points to ttesports.com/productPage.aspx… but that link appears to be dead (not in Wayback Machine either). Closest there is Challenger Edge in design.

Also with RGB backlight.

But then I listened to @cwebber recommending ergonomic keyboards and was wondering whether I should make this a requirement on my next purchase given that I use it daily.

Dezinfo scéna/doba mu iba vyhovuje - hrá do karát.

10 years ago I made the first commit¹ to Conversations.im

To 24 year old me working on one project for 10 years would have been unbelievable.

These days making commits at 2:00 in the morning is almost unbelievable 😂

Happy birthday Conversations! 🎂 🥳

(Someone should teach these kids how to write .gitignore files 😜)

This is an interesting #HTML proposal from @Seirdy

Should there be a `<spoiler>` element?

seirdy.one/posts/2023/11/12/sp…

My heart says yes. HTML should reflect what people are actually doing on the web. How they write. The features they invent.

But my head says it is a duplicate of `<details>` albeit non-block level.

There are many nuances to spoiler-type things, aside from the inline-block level difference from details.

Updates on my Wayland accessibility work:

Current draft protocols: gitlab.freedesktop.org/mwcampb… The provider (application) and consumer (e.g. screen reader) protocols are now separate. We may still end up going with D-Bus for the consumer side:

The provider-side protocol is significantly refactored, and I've updated the prototype in AccessKit: github.com/AccessKit/accesskit…

The prototype compositor implementation is in my fork of Mutter: gitlab.gnome.org/mwcampbell/mu…

@swick Thanks for the feedback.

1. wl_shm_pool doesn't look like it would be a good fit for the serialized tree updates. The create_buffer request request is clearly only intended for image buffers.

2. Yes, the action requests are totally abstract in the Wayland protocol definition. If each type of AccessKit action was mapped to an event with its own arguments, that would require much more glue code in the compositor to pass an action request from the screen reader (or other AT) to the app.

I've just skimmed through the post

The confidence with which the author spreads falsehoods about the nature and structure of the GNOME Foundation/project is embarrassing.

GNOME is a collaborative effort of some paid and many unpaid volunteers.

It doesn't receive the funding that you would expect from such a massive project used in millions of computers in many configurations.

The #Kivy UI framework for #Python has been completely inaccessible to screen reader users for many years. But my colleague Arnold Loubriat is working on fixing that, using #AccessKit, particularly the Python bindings that he developed. There's still a long way to go on this project, but he has posted his work in progress here: github.com/DataTriny/kivy/tree… And here's the tracking issue: github.com/kivy/kivy/issues/85…
