Elon Musk ha annunciato la creazione di una nuova azienda dal nome provocatorio Macrohard, destinata a diventare una concorrente diretta di Microsoft. Secondo Musk, il nome è ironico, ma il progetto in sé è piuttosto serio.
L’obiettivo principale di Macrohard è sviluppare software basato sull’intelligenza artificiale. L’azienda sarà collegata a un altro dei suoi progetti, xAI , per il quale è già stato creato il chatbot Grok. Musk ha spiegato che, poiché Microsoft e aziende simili non producono hardware fisico, le loro attività possono, in linea di principio, essere modellate dall’intelligenza artificiale. xAI ha recentemente depositato una domanda di registrazione del marchio Macrohard presso l’Ufficio Brevetti e Marchi degli Stati Uniti.
Il mese scorso, Musk ha parlato di piani per creare una “società di intelligenza artificiale multi-agent” in cui centinaia di agenti intelligenti specializzati programmerebbero, genererebbero e analizzerebbero immagini e video. @mWare working pretty reliably now. Know exactly what I need to do for permissions and changes to the default config. And it will be using the system mongod instead of trying to launch its own. I should be able to port this with some confidence but it does need some wider testing of its functionality. Interested in being a guinea pig ?

no worries at all! It's not just downloads, they are just the last nail. What was (and is) removed are apps which are unmaintained for quite a while and seem not high in demand – but there are more criteria to it. A niche app would stay even then – while an app with many proprietary components might go earlier. And as for TinyWeather: hey, I'm using it myself!

I first noticed this difference a few months back when my driving instructor couldn't find the location that I sent him (because Google Maps doesn't show it at all). Only after I added "Fairway Walk" (see Google Screenshot for the name/location) as a named road to OSM, did it get added to Google Maps. I'm sure @fireborn will be very happy to know that last night I got Pipewire up and running on my Pi5 alongside Pulse (masked Pulse SystemD units for now.) And, just as his post stated, I had all the fun getting Espeakup to talk to me in the terminal afterwards. Switching from Pulse to Pipewire was quite seamless for most things, like Bluetooth. For that, just had to install libspa-0.2-bluetooth, and boom, A2DP and others worked. For the other problem, the fix was almost as detailed in his post: point the system espeakup at my user’s PipeWire socket by adding a drop-in unit. Not good for multiuser access, but I don't plan to use this pi in a shared space like that. It refuses to run if X/Wayland sockets exist, conflicts with graphical.target so it is stopped when LightDM/desktop comes up. Without this, "Screen reader on" would get cut off, so making the socket bind like this was my only choice, y'all. This works, but it’s a bit hacky since a system service is now tied to a specific user’s runtime dir. Ugh. espeakup has no flag to pick an ALSA device or a PipeWire endpoint; it just uses the system’s default, so keeping it as a system service that talks to the user’s PipeWire is the way to get console speech. You can Make a tiny wrapper that resolves your UID dynamically, which hardens it a bit.

Getting rid of these white outlines around shortcuts was incredibly cumbersome. I tried 3 different things over the course of weeks but I finally have something that is ready to ship with 2.19.3.
Even Signal doesn't have this fixed yet. 🙈
BTW did you know about shortcuts? You can add quick access to certain chats either by long pressing on the Conversations launcher icon and dragging one of those items to the home screen or by long press on the home screen → Widgets → Conversations.
I did not know about the shortcuts in conversations. So probably would never have noticed 😅. But I fully agree that it looks better in the second screenshot 👍

will tutadrive sync with my linux/kubuntu system ? I'm using filen.io now as google drive nor proton drive sync with linux - also google drive isn't encrypted so yeah - and i use a self-hosted nextcloud instance which also syncs with my PC

i am surprised there is even an audience that wants Ai begin with. Ai will never be privacy focused since the companies would have to train on our own email data to do so. Please, never implement Ai!!
