Těšovický vodopád. V lese ukrytý vodopád, k němuž nevede žádná značená turistická cesta, se nachází na bezejmenném přítoku Ohře. Další zajímavostí při návštěvě tohoto místa je také hraniční mezník Falknovského a Nosticového panství se znamením kotvy, který se nachází pod vodopádem. Další takovouhle fotku už neudělám. Můj Nikon COOLPIX P900 vyrazil na cestu na Ukrajinu, aby tam vojákům v první linii pomáhal díky svému zoomu sledovat ruské pozice. A jestli si připíše do pažby nějaký ten zářez za ustřelenou ruskou hlavu, budu z toho mít dobrý pocit.

A swan on what looks like a collision course – taken as I was standing, apparently in a good spot for flying over, on a hill next to the lake it took off from. It was gaining altitude faster than it was closing the distance, so this didn't feel quite as perilous as it might appear!
My husband had to wait for 6 years to capture this view of #TheNeedles.
Taken as the #moon set at 4.30 am last summer. This shot is only possible a couple of times each year. He almost had it in 2016 but it was slightly too breezy and the telephoto lens couldn't keep in focus.

It's been a while since I've taken a photo! This is the Zizkov Tower in Prague, Czech Republic. It's said to be the second ugliest building in the world (second only to the Morris A. Mechanic Theatre in Baltimore). However, living in the area around it, you can't help but love it. It's a symbol that watches over you when you come home from a pub, and sits on the horizon when you're out with your family. Plus, it'll look amazing in 700 years! #photography #prague

In my 65 years on this planet, I have never called for- or taken a thing I own in for repair, with the exception of front end alignments on my vehicles, because I don't have the equipment to do it. One small correction to this flier, however, it should read: "If you aren't allowed to fix it, you don't own it." Not everyone has the knowledge or interest in fixing things. And yo, #Sony #Photography, this flier applies to you, big time.)
I like the way the crest looks on this female northern cardinal. I didn't notice the odd feather on the wing until I started processing the photograph. It makes me wonder if something happened or did, I just catch her before her all fixed up for the day. A fun thing about spring is everything turns green, a really nice background for bird photos.
Holy moly!! Lightning caught mid-strike as it hits a tree. ⚡ 🌳 😲
I hope the photographer was using an extremely long-range telephoto lens, as lightning will travel along root systems, which can extend some distance away depending upon the type of tree.

I drove all day from Death Valley to Monument Valley chasing storms in fall of 2021. Got completely skunked, lightning-wise, but at the very last minute the sun broke through the clouds for about 5 minutes before setting and threw the towers into this stunning alpenglow, with a little rainbow on the far left.

There are many reasons to loathe Amazon but closing DPReview with no plan for archival is now on my top 5 list. If you're not a photographer it might sound like a big deal but that site is the most comprehensive & informative collection of camera knowledge that exists in addition to being a still-thriving community. When y’all argue to abolish copyright so you can use other people’s photos, be aware that you are aren’t sticking it to corporations. You’re mostly sticking it indie artists who barely make rent.
Photographers, on average, make about $18/hr. That’s about half the rate of a high school teacher. Asking them to give up rights to their work is not a great look.
i wouldn't say this is my most exciting picture in the world, no cute birds or anything, but i really like it as a desktop wallpaper. i mean its what my current wallpaper is lol. i put it up on ko-fi as a pay-what-you-want download. it's yours to have for whatever price you want! i'm currently unemployed so would love to make a little money from my photographs but only if you have the means, you downloading it at all would mean a lot to me

Picked up a Fuji X-Pro1 11 years ago while I was still using mostly Canon. Today I have a whole family of X-trans sensor Fujis (and one of these is my daughter's camera, with another in "joint custody mode" between the two of us).
More than happy with this camera and sensor system. So happy I started to box up my final Canon lenses for sale today.
This is the best photo of magnetic core memory I've ever taken. IBM, early 60s. Shot with a microscope lens mounted on a 35mm B&W digital camera. No post! (I got into the habit of never doing any post-processing while documenting historic artifacts for the museum. Photoshop not allowed!) #retrocomputing #photography #rcsri
