Well, I’m officially 34 today. I wound up crashing hard for most of the night, but the good news is that this morning I feel pretty good — aside from the usual arthritis pain in my feet and hands and not being able to find one of my slippers, so I’ve had to walk on the hard floor barefoot. Lol. I’ve looked everywhere, so I’ll probably have to ask my mom for help when she gets up.

Something is changing my default output device to 24 bit 96 khz. It is annoing, because it doesnt change the imput device, so Reaper can not open it in wasapi. Today it probably broke my vdo ninja recording, which was half a speed. It seems that this happens after lenovo or windows update. Lets see if I can create some script which will monitor it and let me know when this happens again

Hier kommt mal eine kleine Testaufnahme eines potentiellen Audio-Recording-Setups. Im Einsatz ein iPad Pro 11 Zoll M5, ein Zoom H4Essential als Audio Interface, ein Samson Q2 U Mikrofon, per XLR angeschlossen, und die Software Ferrite als Aufnahmesoftware. Ein Tiefpassfilter, ein warmer Verstärker und leicht eingestellter Kompressor runden die Aufnahme ab.
@NinaGerling Ja, das war das Problem mit diesem älteren Mikrofon schon als ich es noch für meine regulären Podcastaufnahmen im Einsatz hatte. Trotz Schaumstoff-Popfilter kann man dieses sehr leicht überfahren. Das war auch lediglich ein Test, weil es zur Hand ist. Es ist mir aber für mobil zu unhandlich, da mache ich mich jetzt auf die Suche nach was besserem. Aber für einen ersten Test hat es seinen Dienst verrichtet.
Ein Popschutz wäre noch cool. Und eine Geschmacksfrage, aber ich persönlich finde, dass die Tiefen etwas zu dominant sind. Da bin ich zugegebenermaßen aber auch sehr empfindlich. Dass ich es auf den AirPods Pro 2 Gehört habe, half dann auch nicht. Abseits vom Popschutz aber definitiv Geschmakssache. Super, dass das iPad langsam mehr wird als ein übergroßes iPhone.
@WestphalDenn Ja, das stimmt, dieses Mikro war auch nur als Proof Of Concept im Einsatz. Wenn man es direkt bespricht, poppt es trotz Schaumstoffkappe. Das hatte ich vergessen, dass man bei dem zwar dicht dran, aber doch dran vorbei sprechen muss. Hatte es bei meinen ersten Podcast-Folgen im Einsatz und fand das damals schon nervig. Aber es geht, man kann mit einem XLR-Mikro aufnehmen und das Audio auch am iPad bearbeiten. Und darauf kam's mir primär an.

I'm very certain I'll get it anyway, it's basically what I've wanted, and eloquence has been in my life daily for like, 8 years with phone beeing an exception at the start. I can understand it well, in either english or german, it's robotic and dry enough without beeing annoying at it. Well, what else can I say...
