Prowadzenie takich projektów bez zewnętrznego wsparcia to droga przez mękę, użeranie z wiecznie niezadowolonymi osobami. Te zadowolone siedzą cicho, nie dając motywacji nawet dobrym słowem.

Outside of Europe, #Google's monopoly gets slammed by India too. The ruling says that:

- Google must allow alternative app stores (like F-Droid or ApkPure) on the Play Store. This is really the step zero for fair competition: give everybody the same visibility, and let users pick what they like.

- Google should not force Android providers to install its own apps in order to be a certified Android provider. Step one for fair competition: competition only works if none of the involved party starts from a position of advantage.

- Google should make the Play Store available also on Android forks. Step two for fair competition: if the competitors' stores are available on your store, then your store should also be available on the competitors' forks, and users eventually will pick what they like the most. All the distribution asymmetries should be removed.

This is a good and balanced ruling that aims to create a level playing field by removing all the bumps that, as of now, strongly consolidate Google's position of dominance.

And it's going to hit Google quite badly too: India is the largest global market for Android (arguably on par with China), and Google may be on its way to lose its unfair advantage there.

source code for the GEMDOS prototype for the Apple Lisa was found among the Digital Research source code that was released under the GPL by Caldera a while back

now that's how you publicly license historical source code

and people have gotten it to run!

with a full GEM desktop!

They Rule is an interactive visualization of the interlocking directories of the largest US companies. It shows that 87 of the top 100 US companies in 2021 were connected through shared directors on their boards. It allows visitors to browse through the board-room connections, and create maps they can share with others. Visitors can find links between companies by clicking on the chair menu in the top left and printing out their maps.

Currently pouring over a sample exam sheet set for Finnish highschool students in German as foreign language in 2020 to assess the accessibility of the exam solution. It's got everything an accessible test needs: a table of contents, a good heading structure, native HTML 5 media player with almost perfect accessibility, native controls such as radio buttons and edit fields to give the answers.
The students were to pass the test by connecting their computers with an Ethernet cable to the examination machine running a special OS, presumably a fork of Debian. The test was taken by tunneling into the examination machine through the web browser and handling the exam in an accessible HTML from there.
Sadly, the audio recordings for the listening part do not seem to be available. Pity, as they reference Whatsapp voice messages. Would be fun to check for their authenticity based on the sound quality.
On that note: Do language exams in your countries reference modern communication methods or is it still a telephone? When I took my final in German, "Social media: pros and cons" was just a subject of the mini essay I had to put together as part of the writing assignment.
