Keď včera prišli prvé náznaky, že by MS mohol spomaliť a "plne sa sústrediť" na bezpečnosť mal som z toho zmiešané pocity. Iste, na prvý pohľad sa to dalo považovať za dobrú správu, malo to však dve chybičky krásy. Dnes je už aspoň prvá z nich preč.
Včera to bol iba šum, nič oficiálne. Dnes to však už môžeme považovať za potvrdené.
Áno, spomaliť a urobiť to, čo je správne - sústrediť sa na bezpečnosť a opravy... super. Aj to treba pochváliť. "Ale není to málo, Antone Pavloviči?" Bezpečnosť nie je niečo, čo stačí "urobiť" raz za čas a máme vymaľované. Nie je to projekt, je to nikdy nekončiaci proces. Iste, MS by sme pravdepodobne krivdili, ak by sme povedali, že na bezpečnosť úplne kašlú, ale nedávne usadlosti jasne ukázali, že to čo robili doteraz nestačí.
Zmení sa teda aj niečo na ich systematickom prístupe? Rád by som tomu veril, ale profesionálna skepsa mi nedovolí byť optimista...
Microsoft pokračuje v bití sa do pŕs, ako to s tou bezpečnosťou na prvom mieste myslí sakra vážne. Veľký šéf dokonca odkomunikoval všetkým zamestnancom pomerne rozsiahlu správu, kde sa okrem iného píše aj to, že ak sa kedykoľvek musia rozhodovať medzi bezpečnosťou alebo inou prioritou - majú jednoznačne uprednostniť bezpečnosť. #Microsoft #Bezpečnosť

Wow, what an absolute disaster! And I thought in 2024, we finally would be past such grand fuckups! Excuse the language… But there is no other word that can describe how I feel about this. We have 12 Sonos devices in our household as well, and many of them are already the second generation devices, after the first gen we bought ten years ago started breaking down or no longer receiving updates.
As for Sonos’s commitment to accessibility: This was definitely true for the iOS and Android apps in the past, but never for the Mac app. The Mac app is the same rubbish that I downloaded ten years ago, and my reports on the easy to fix labeling problems totally went unheard. So while it is appalling, this newest round of accessibility fuckup doesn’t totally come as a surprise.
@Marco And I was hoping… I know there is no such thing as “commitment to accessibility”, especially for such a small company, but I was at least hoping for “attention to accessibility” and a bit of sentiment! :)
