To celebrate 30 years of JAWS, we're launching a new training series highlighting notable features available in JAWS.

In our first session, we cover Quick Navigation Keys; what they are, how to use them, and how they make browsing the web more efficient with JAWS.

Listen to or watch the training here:

Kelly Sapergia reshared this.

in reply to Sean Randall

@cachondo Thank you for being a long time JAWS user. We wanted to create a training series to celebrate features that had a huge impact at the time of their release. This training series is also designed to help ones who are new to using JAWS, some of whom were not even born yet in 2002, learn about all the features available in JAWS. Maybe you know someone new to using a screen reader that may benefit from this training?

wanna give a huge shout-out to Sergey Prokudin-Gorsky for gifting us some absolutely stunning colour photographs from Russia in the 1910s.

YEAH YOU READ THAT RIGHT. he took three photographs of each subject, through coloured filters, and then projected the images again through the filters and superimposed them.

and thus, we have colour photography of early 20th century Russia. and it's beautiful.

NEW Change, Technically just dropped where we go all in on Star Wars: Andor and the Psychology of Resistance ! 🤩

changetechnically.fyi/2396236/…

@analog_ashley and I LOVED Andor, and I'm psyched to be sitting on a Comic-Con panel about it this very week -- if you're at Comic-Con you can catch our panel about Andor and Resistance on July 24th at noon and if not, you can dive deep into the psychology of dissenters and coalitions with this episode!

Folks, I can definitely recommend this talk from @bugaevc at #guadec2025!

Sergey has been of great help for my minor stumblings of trying to write #ObjC #GTK bindings for #ObjFW. He's got formidable knowledge und deep insight into #GObject especially and Cxx languages in general.

He decided to test it for various metal contamination, and found such a high concentration of lead that his first reaction was to assume his equipment was malfunctioning.

Re: last boost (mastodon.social/@samim/1148964…), I normally wouldn't boost a post with an image that has no alt text. But the post text is interesting on its own. I'd appreciate a description of the image though. #AltForMe

so living organisms evolved sensitivity to that band, and that's what we now call "visible light". '

I have a flash drive on my keyring (the one holding the house key), with a LUKS encrypted file system on it, to be mounted using the loopback device. The password is also on it but GPG encrypted, and my GPG keyring is not on this flash drive. The flash drive was reformatted so it contains an EXT4 file system, so someone plugging it in might not even be able to get started. Would that be illegal? I use it as an "in case the house burns down" backup.

Asi to bude 🧵, takže zatím 1/

All the countless hours spent on the :linux: #Linux Desktop Migration Tool are finally paying off! My wife got a new laptop yesterday. I installed :fedora: #Fedora #Silverblue on it, created a user account, connected it to the home network, and left the migration tool running overnight. She could start using the new laptop without any interruption in the morning, and the whole thing took like 15 minutes of my time.
