This is the funniest thing I've seen in a while. Someone asks #ChatGPT to rewrite a simple statement (sitting outdoors enjoying a bagel) in a way that cannot possibly cause any offense to anyone.

The first obvious casualty of large language models is homework: the real training for everyone, though, and the best way to leverage AI, will be in verifying and editing information.
With #Galactica and #ChatGPT I'm seeing people again getting excited about the prospect of using language models to "access knowledge" (i.e. instead of search engines). They are not fit for that purpose --- both because they are designed to just make shit up and because they don't support information literacy.
