Among other QoL improvements this fixes the suspend inhibitor when using your phone as a WiFi hotspot and gives more screen estate due to a narrow home bar (by mathew-dennis),
My hope is that we can ship some initial support for all of this in #gnome46 - if possible with the default video player. Be it Totem, ported to #gtk4, or some alternative. The goal is of course that as many apps as possible can make use of it without much hassle - be it video streaming apps, video chat apps like @dino or Fractal, #fediverse clients like Tuba or camera apps like #gnomecamera / Snapshot (for a battery friendly viewfinder - important on #linuxmobile). And of course browsers.
Fun fact: The XDG desktop portal for GNOME mobile is not adaptive, despite Nautilus being Adaptive (Nautilus is still not yet perfect on mobile but it's getting there)
@dino 0.4.3 just got released with some exciting improvements for #LinuxMobile
1. Several fixes for touch input, making audio/video calls actually usable on phones 2. Fixes for video support so devices with #libcamera / #pipewire support like the #PinePhonePro work now 3. The app is now recognized as mobile friendly on #Phosh 4. Stricter #Flatpak sandbox - no device/all any more
The new version is available on #Flathub and lots of distro repos.

Imagine you could install any software on any device. The devices you own that don't receive updates anymore, or where you found out that the software is full of ads/tracking.
