7.5 - still no fix for that bug in OsX that makes Writer crash when using macOS internal dictation. This bug exists for years. Dictation in a word processing software seems quite important to me.

Dnes slavím narozeniny. 6.12.2003 jsem na svůj pracovní notebook nainstaloval Debian unstable. Od té doby ho aktualizuju a přenáším na nový hardware. Přežil mimo jiné 2x přešifrování disku (z toho jednou in-place) nebo migraci z i386 na amd64 (prakticky za chodu). A 19 let provozu. #debian #linux #opensource

Můj Arch za cca 9 let přežil přenos mezi 3 laptopy, přesun z plain do šifrovaného, migraci z grubu na refind a později na efistub... Jednoduchá opravitelnost a přenositelnost systému je jeden z důvodů proč to používám.

I know that the below post might sound random but here goes. The Unicode braille block starts from U+2800. The U+2800 character himself is a so called “blank braille pattern” which translates to a space sign in most cases. Stuff get more interesting if you want to make a braille pattern. In computer braille (8 dots) there are 256 possible patterns, it sounds like a byte, right? Right! Cause if you want to make a braille pattern, you just at a byte to the base character U+2800 as we already discussed. The bits in this byte are encoded in column order, so that 11100000 is the letter L, and 1101000 is letter F. The exception to this rule are of course dots 7 and 8. They have been added later and so putting them between dot 3 would break the compatibility with existing software. So, to reassume the encoding order is as follows (from bit 0 of the byte) Dot 1 Dot 2 Dot 3 Dot 4 Dot 5 Dot 6 Dot 7 Dot 8 Tell me guys if you like such #programming and/or #accessibility posts from me.

In particular, we are not sure how to implement native iOS behaviour like a Back button that reacts to the two finger Back gesture or refreshing with three-fingers-downwards swipe. Something that has worked really well for librsvg - and now I'm happy to have for at-spi2-core as well - is a development guide for the internals. Not a library manual, but an internals guide.
I want to make it a good reference for the implementation details of #accessibility - for how the system is built, the roadmap and the cleanups we're doing, how to make toolkits accessible, that sort of thing.

Wie auf dem Screensshot ersichtlich: Das eine ist von F-Droid, das andere von den Entwicklern selbst. Wenn die App reproduzierbar gebaut wurde, installierst Du halt initial von F-Droid – und bekommst die Updates immer von da, wo sie zuerst verfügbar werden.
Dann baut @apps nicht reproduzierbar – und Du entscheidest Dich bei Erstinstallation, von wo her Du später Deine Updates bekommst. Und sorry, ich weiß nicht bei jeder App, ob und wo da in solchen Fällen (funktionelle) Unterschiede bestehen.
Ich habe mir gerade mit KeePassXC (keepassxc.org/) einen Passwortmanager auf dem Laptop installiert und werde nun in den nächsten Wochen immer, wenn ich mich irgendwo einlogge, ein neues, sicheres Passwort setzen und dort abspeichern. Lernen, installieren und einrichten war dank des wirklich sehr hilfreichen Adventskalenders von @digitalcourage nicht kompliziert.
Dann lass mich noch meine liebste Keepass-App für Android in den Ring werfen: Keepass2Android Offline. Nur nicht von "offline" verwirren lassen! Aus der Nextcloud-App geladen hat man immer die aktuelle DB.
Leider nicht auf F-Droid, aber das Repo von @IzzyOnDroid lohnt sich sowieso 😉
@txt @silmaril @kubikpixel @EngelbertDejaco Wahrscheinlichster Grund: MultiArch. Das APK in meinem Repo hat Bibliotheken für 4 Architekturen (ARMv7, ARM64, x86, x64), die es gehörig aufblähen. Das andere ist wahrscheinlich nur für eine Architektur, daher auch nur ca. 1/4 so groß.
