I feel like I’m missing something but I can’t find if I can do it and where. Can’t I update the #LibreOffice version I have (7.5.0.3) to 7.5.2 instead of doing a completely new installation? I’m quite new to LibreOffice so I don’t think I’ve updated it before.

@DavidRHel @demerara not an expert but the installer on the download page updates the installation you have and removes outdated files. You don’t end up with multiple installations. With be sure to check your computer and OS for the right version (32, 64)
I got a bit of a shock when I saw that screenshot, actually. Took a while to see that the tabbed interface is an option. PLEASE also keep the option of an old-style menu and toolbars UI for those of us who greatly prefer that.
I wrote it using a small version of my Go Discord library. It's a PWA app that also works on desktops.
The fact that Nokia locked the phone made any debugging effort near impossible. Styling for such a small screen was also quite challenging.

Hello everyone, I hope all are safe and well during these crazy times. I need everyone to listen up for a second, because I'm here to talk about an important safety issue that is rarely discussed. I'm talking about active shooter situations, and people with disabilities. A discussion occurred this morning between my husband who has multiple disabilities, and his worker who assist him a few times a week. She basically wants to minimize his shopping experience to keep them safe, but she went about it in the most atrocious way. We had a shooting at our local Target just down the street from us, and it is a place my husband and I have visited many times. Thankfully no one was shot, but this brings to mind a very important discussion. So far, I've seen nothing talking about active shooters and how people with disabilities and their caregivers can prepare and plan for these situations. If you have a few minutes, I'd like to point you to the following blog post I've written, both as a therapeutic writing exercise, but mainly, to share awareness of this issue. How are these caregivers being trained? Why aren't they approaching these subjects with sensitivity and respect as they should? Please read the blog post at the link below. @jdking92 Possibly, but you could likely rig a pedal or some kind of input to do that for you, and they barely touched on the functions. Maybe it has an auto-listen mode and listens for loud sounds, who's to say? I bet it's way more comprehensive than has been listed here. Would surely make sense.

Writing my first NVDA addon and have hit a stumbling block. If I do something like for obj in obj.parent.children in event_NVDAObjectInit, is it expected behavior for the caller, which is a member of obj.parent.children, to trigger some sort of infinite recursion where it repeatedly re-initializes itself?
Plugging away at my Steam addon. When scrolling through lists of friend activities, focus lands on things I can recognize as activities by their class, but they're on the same level as other items whose names I need to combine. But the row parents have no unique classes identifying them as activities. So AFAICT, all I can do is detect these individual classes, then look to the parent for more details. But this locks up NVDA by repeatedly re-initializing the same object, and the loop is what triggers it.
Just so you're aware, this link doesn't work in my Mastodon client. It is truncated with no scheme, and can't be opened or usefully copied. It may be TweeseCake's fault, or you may have posted it a particular way. Not sure.

Bing's new AI is pretty much just OpenAI (incl. ChatGPT) but with the capability of using Bing itself as a search engine, to get more up-to-date and accurate knowledge about a certain input. It can also generate images, but it's literally just Dall-E.
I asked it to get info about my website and it seems to have copied word-for-word certain things, such as what music I enjoy (I have info about that written on my website, it just told me that exact info).
I'd be lying if I said it isn't interesting, but I can't see myself using it either. ChatGPT is a knowledge engine, that isn't managed by a monopoly with questionable ethics that I have personally had many gripes with. Bing is just that, with a search engine strapped to it. Not to mention very, VERY specific app and browser requirements.
If you've seen ChatGPT, it's pretty much that, but it can look up things, and it's less fun.
