First off I went to altstore.io and purchased #AltStore using Safari on my iPhone SE (iOS 17.4.1). I got directed to a download page and clicking the download button pops up an error message.

More generally, I'd reduce the number of screenshots to 3 or so (e.g. first, second, last) and avoid manual compositing with multiple windows as much as possible. Happy to discuss this more in detail, but might be better on Matrix, e.g. #flathub or #gnome-design :)

hey Windows fans: if you've got Logi Options+ installed because you've got a Logitech mouse or whatever, it's probably running WebView2 and a GPU thread and a ChatGPT integration now 😩
you can uninstall Logi Options+, probably reboot (I think I needed a reboot), and then install the offline version from:

This is why I test on multiple engines during dev instead of after implementing something: so that I’m not surprised when one engine is missing support for my favorite pet feature.
I’d rather stick to progressive enhancement: start with what’s worked everywhere for the past few years and work from there. Tor Browser “safest” users, iOS Lockdown users, textual browser users, etc. all disable features we take for granted. Relying on modern features is always a huge gamble.
Switching out images in a picture element and sticking to a more old-school single-column or flexbox layout sounds like a better decision tbh. Optimize for the fewest number of required features possible.
