After a lot of work, I got Windows TTS for Doom pretty much the same as it has been in Linux for a while now. While working on the Windows version, I noticed that a lot of people who were playing wre not native English speakers.

I added in a setting so that the language could be set, and if the language is not English it uses Google translate to translate the text to their specified language before sending it through as speech.

I am wondering how many people who use the Linux version in Linux Game Manager would be interested in this functionality?

Updated my sortable tables post.

It now notes that NVDA, JAWS, Narrator, and VoiceOver / iPadOS will announce when you sort a table column.

That means VoiceOver on macOS and TalkBack do _not_ announce a sort.

Dramatically better than when I wrote it in 2021 yet still utterly inadequate.

Eine 2023 erschienene Studie von Greenpeace zeigt auf, wie eklatant falsch und damit politisch bewusst gesteuert bis heute die Finanzierung der Schiene im Vergleich zur Straße läuft. So wurde zwischen 1995 und 2018 mehr als doppelt so viel (110 Prozent mehr) in Straßen wie in Schienenwege investiert. 278,4 Milliarden Euro in Straßen und 132 Milliarden Euro in Schienenwege. Dieser Trend setzte sich auch von 2018 bis 2021 fort, hier erhielt die Straßeninfrastruktur 84 Prozent mehr Geld. Seit 1995 gab es kein einziges Jahr, in dem Deutschland mehr in die Schiene als in die Straße investiert hat. 2009 erhielten deutsche Straßen sogar fast viermal so viel Investitionen wie die Schiene. Das Verkehrsbündnis »Allianz pro Schiene« schätzt, dass seit 1995 auf netto 2700 Kilometern Schiene der Personenverkehr eingestellt wurde und das deutsche Schienennetz zwischen 1995 und 2020 um 15 Prozent schrumpfte – von 45 100 km auf 38 400 km. I proto mám rád #Linux a jeho možnosti volby. Aktuálně tedy @kde #Plasma, předtím @xfce a ještě předtím #Gnome (a zkoušel jsem i mnoho jiných).
Těch možností voleb a konfigurace je tam nespočet. V případě Gnome to teď sice úplně neplatí, což je důvod, proč používám Plasmu, ale o tom to přesně je, o té možnosti volby.
Rozumím směru, kterým M$ jde a jsem rád, že mám možnost volby jiného OS.

Going to start a link collection of parametric 3D models that use OpenSCAD. Too many good things out there are unfortunately using Fusion3D, which is not really an open alternative, IMHO. But some real gems exist in the OpenSCAD world. This parametric #gridfinity collection for example, that you can customise simply in your browser with an account at Makerworld. Or on your own machine with OpenSCAD.
