Not sure if the following has been part of information and discussion around here. Apparently there are several Nostr relays that bridge, with or without asking for permission, profiles to somewhere else.
Actually at least over here I also could create a positive list, restricting access to only predefined instances.
That said, the "asking for permission" is if some instance simply mirrors profiles "without asking for permission" each profile or instance it pretends to mirror or duplicate. This in any case is basically about good manners, not technical possibilities.
I didn't dig into some apparent nostr discussion itself but saw the possibility to register a profile for mirroring it. Well, actually the only way this could happen in a correct respectful manner is that a profile follows an account that than interpretates that following as a request or permission to be mirrored.
Not interested in supporting bluesky or disrespectful folks in any way so I guess this list comes kinda preemptive handy. 👍

complement --netrc-optional with --authinfo-optional that looks for ~/.authinfo.gpg in netrc format and tries to read it ephemerally by asking gpg-agent to decrypt it! I would dearly love to retain netrc functionality without leaving plaintext creds lying around in my home dir.
To get some experience as a video content creator, I started @nextcloud_academy. It's inspired by explaining basic things to my in-laws over the phone. The channel will have short videos with step-by-step tutorials that you can show to people who are new to #Nextcloud.

I personally appreciate the activity. at the same time I would like to express my preference for videos that can be listened to. The worst form is interviews where the questions are in text and the answers in audio, which is not your case. I understand that it may be a rational production decision. Still, thanks for creating useful content.
@ruza It would probably be even easier with a voice instead of text, but I really hate listening to myself. Even the underlying music was driving me crazy after several hours (yes, it took me several hours to put together a 2-minute video, it's still more learning than creating now), I can't imagine listening to myself over and over for hours. 🙉

Jde o to, ze Peertube umí rozdělit video a audio jen pár měsíců. Klientům bude chvíli trvat se tomu přizpůsobit. Já bych se toho dál držel. Šetří to místo a lidi můžou poslouchat jen audio.

Stay vigilant, ICE is raiding parks, hospitals, restaurants, anywhere immigrants work (everywhere)
Print out Red Cards which outline the rights of someone being arrested by ICE. Print them out, leave them on the bus, in the library, in the bathroom ilrc.org/red-cards-tarjetas-ro…
Do not talk to ICE. If they come to your work you say "I do not know the immigration status of anyone who works here. Am I free to leave?". And then leave.
If you see someone being arrested, document it. Film it if you can, write down details if you can't. Don't post to social media. Instead look up who to report ICE raids to in your state (do that now), and call them.

Gem simulator update for Mist World: (mwgame.wiki/mistsim.html) On my lunch, I used GPT-pro mode to code for about an hour (maybe a little more) and get a Gem-aggregator.js into shape. This file collects inputted data from multiple rows of gem levels and counts, then feeds this back to the gem-simulator's main calculation function to use the info and break them into shards. This was quite complex to get right, something even pro-mode didn't do at first shot, but thanks to the well-commented files I was able to debug it fairly quick and fix bugs like, not allowing you to add multiple gem types for one calculation - this would be bad unless we ran functions for each and then displayed an appended result, maybe a future Todo but not right now. Bonus: Calculate by starting gem inventory amount and level was added as well. Unlike just telling you how many gems you need to make for that level directly, this lets you enter exactly a starting level and number, so it's a bit different but simpler for those who don't want a table to do this. Fixed: The simpler "Calculate to target level" function now does 300 attempts and averages them. This is to not get an overly-low count of required shards, as per this mode, we are not able to use leftover shards. That's because we are not going from a set count of shards, but rather the opposite, going to a specific level with initial shards until we reach that level. These updates should make the gem simulator way more comprehensive!
