in reply to Matt Campbell • • •@alexm I'm slightly more interested in audio out through HDMI, which means it's dependent on the DAC in your TV or monitor, and do have that working at a low level (see github.com/DusterTheFirst/pico…). But most of these kinds of boards have a pretty high quality DAC.
This is all hobby/weekend stuff for me, but I'm hoping to have a little more time as I wrap up the current transition.

Also note, I think the Olimex board DAC is mono, even though it has a stereo headphone jack.
I'm not sure if there's existing Rust code to drive the audio, but it should be fairly simple, my understanding it it's basic SPI. The rp-rs Matrix is probably the best place to ask.
