OpenAI plans new voice model in early 2026, audio-based hardware in 2027

#AI / #LLM propaganda is so insidiously effective even for laypeople.
I’ve had multiple conversations with family members who: don’t speak English, don’t own computers (only mobile phones), and barely spend time online.
I told them that I am no longer working with most tech company clients because I don’t like AI and don’t want to support it (“AI” here = gen AI, LLMs).
And yet these people all reacted the same way: concern, shock, and comments like “but this is inevitable”, “this is the future”, “you’ll have to accept it eventually”, “won’t refusing it ruin your career prospects?”
These are people who know nothing about technology. They usually wouldn’t even know what “AI” meant. And yet here they are, utterly convinced of AI company talking points.
Symfony AI was tagged as v0.1.0 in one of the last days of 2025 🚀
I took some time to update the article to reflect the new package structure.

SF’s is having a massive power outage. We ended up having to drive across SF to find a laundromat to dry our soaking wet laundry. Here’s my two observations: every third block is a traffic jam caused by a confused Waymo that doesn’t know how to handle these intersections with no power. Why are the Waymo’s even allowed to drive right now?
Also, considering how much of our city’s budget goes to the cops, why aren’t any of them directing traffic? I mean, it’s not like SFPD is busy solving crime…

Haaaa haaaa haaaa haaaa haaa!
Why is everyone mad at #mozilla I don't understand.
#firefox is about to release one of the best #ai features and I couldn't be more excited: a kill switch.
This is a big deal and marks a change of sentiment. After years of tech scrambling to reinvent itself with user hostile #ai features, Mozilla is offering something different - turn it off.
Here is the price evolution of the Kingston FURY 64GB KIT DDR5 6000MHz CL36 Beast EXPO that I have in my new PC:
September - 5400 CZK (€221)
Mid November (what I paid) - 7000 CZK (€287)
End of November - 12890 CZK (€528)
Now - 16390 CZK (€672)
What to say... #AI is changing the world, but not in the way that people had envisaged.
Možná jste to nevěděli, ale reader mode ve Firefoxu umí číst články. Jakože nahlas. Přečte text jako audio. Ale zní to prehistoricky a čeština je to vtipná. Kdyby zrovna do tohodle vrazili AI a vylepšili to, neuráželo by mně to.

Mozilla just named Anthony Enzor-DeMeo as their new CEO. He says:
“Firefox will grow from a browser into a broader ecosystem of trusted software. Firefox will remain our anchor. It will evolve into a modern AI browser and support a portfolio of new and trusted software additions.”
RIP, Firefox.

In #Safari on an #iPhone going to the link I see... something that resembles a blog, but tapping the "reader view" I get the following, proving the point of the headline. If we can't read it, an #AI #Bot can't scrape it.

I get the feeling that the band Terra Glitch is actually AI generated music. It's really well done, so I'm not sure, but the fact that all of their albums were released in the last 18 months makes the idea that it is not AI less plausible to me...
They are my new favorite band... I'm just not sure. Maybe very prolific?

If I were on #spotify, I’d cancel my subscription/account immediately.
King Gizzard pulled their music from the platform so Spotify has replaced it with #AI knockoffs of their music. As if paying almost nothing for streaming wasn’t evil enough, they’re now using LLMs trained on stolen content to pay artists nothing at all.

I'm a bit worried about the discourse around #ai.
It's totally OK to have strong opinions either way, but I feel like in certain circles it's becoming a purity test.
Do you hold the RIGHT opinions about AI, how it's trained and how it's used?
I think pointing out the dangers is important. Pointing out the risks is important, but recognizing that the situation is nuanced and complex is important as well.
