Yup. Millions of people with no basic background or formal understanding of terrorism studies being duped by the ultra-sophisticated tentacled Hamas propaganda machine that mainstream media and global outlets lack resources and integrity to discern and expose. Including terrorist journalists.

#Molly app has a socks5 option but only #Orbot "VPN" mode will work. What if #Arti from @torproject could bind with Molly on socks5 via #Termux?

would be nice to have #systemd like @postmarketOS

*Termux @termux
pkg update (possible to plug in keyboard and display to #android #mobile app)
then proot-distro login --isolated debian
su - user because Arti will complain eventhough phone is not really rooted, change etc/resolv.conf to cloudflare, add dependencies needed for #rust rustup and cargo on #debian #trixie, chmod g-w ~/.config

* #Oniux --> E0560

* Arti --> Linux Scaffolding Log_Connections

* apkeep #EFF eff.org/pages/apkeep --> shared storage path, package manager chokepoint won't install

* network monitoring like Nyx with #tokio-console

In a way, like passwordless root in QubesOS. Some good customizations can be made in Dom0, though, unlike GrapheneOS.

#arti does work on Termux natively without the need for proot. Its not packaged as it is still under active development and we would want to provide such security critical package only when we believe we can do so without any anti-effects.

github.com/termux/termux-packa… for Arti on Termux (not recommended for use, only considered a proof of concept)

I am probably getting old, but the idea to cram in lots of events in Brussels the entire week before FOSDEM is not getting my thumbs up. Or well, you can have them but I won't be there.

A regular FOSDEM already wears me out on its own. Being at the European Open Source Awards on the Thursday before FOSDEM is stretching it but I will do it.

Adding *more* events to my agenda that week would probably kill me.

Did I mention I'm old? Leave me alone.

@zipkid In many cases it's just the least-bad option if you want to hold an event and get maximum attendance... the side-events are things that, in all likelihood, just aren't going to attract as many people if they had to travel for that one event.

It is exhausting, no doubt. I mostly got off the travel train in 2018... I do miss seeing people in person sometimes, but I do not miss the flights, hotels, etc. Major kudos to confs that do a good job putting up streaming sessions and videos shortly after the event. FOSDEM in particular is excellent about this.

source: have planned post/pre-FOSDEM events in the past.

My vocational school class is going to the cinema next Friday, actually, not even just the class, several other classes from the school. Our English teacher was (apparently) able to select a movie from the catalog. But, guess what, oh no how sad, the film has no audio description, but but, we even asked the cinema, so sorry, we need to find an alternative for you. The alternative is that while my classmates to whom I already am separated thanks to several other factors of my disability enjoy themselves next Friday, I'll be sitting at the office (being given the time to work on school stuff), and of course I don't have to stay the full time. You know I'm not even angry, this was totally no surprise to me but it's so fucking ridiculous.

You are correct, I think, this is a personal thing. All that matters is your workflow, if it's the best keyboard in the world according to everyone else, but doesn't work for you, then it's a waste and should be returned. You may also want to have a look at the folding keyboards, which are quite interesting. Microsoft had a universal folding one but I believe it's discontinued. There's always the Keys2Go 2 from Logitech, it's very thin but doesn't fold. It does, though, support multiple devices. There are also the ones from IClever and Protoarc. As I said, other peoples' views aren't too important, what matters is what you think after having seen them.

For anyone unfamiliar:

A man goes to a newspaper stand every day, buys a copy of Pravda, glances at the front cover, curses, and throws it away.

After a few weeks of this the seller just has to ask what's going on: "why do you always look at the cover but never inside?"

"I'm looking for an obituary."

"An obituary? But those are in the back!"

"Oh no, the obituary I'm looking for will be on the front page."

NOt sure what's that all about Apple's "automation” attempts or even the iOS ”shortcuts” app, but it certainly doesn't feel like fun to create anything with them. Donno, perhaps it's a VoiceOver experience, but I equally find that a lot of the system prefs and features are not even properly exposed to take advantage of. Feels like a half-baked product feature to me!

Me: "You should use Firefox because it's the only real alternative, and you should keep yelling at Mozilla demanding they do the right thing"

User: "Yeah, I'm fed up with their behaviour, but they won't listen"

Me: "I know it's frustrating but Mozilla is full of good people, if you actively participate and share your feedback they will listen"

User: "All right, I'll tell them that they became too woke and corrupted by the leftist ideology"

Me: "Wait...what?! No...you can actually go away"

At this point, when you show me a trailer for your game that focuses on how lavishly detailed the visuals are all it does is make me wonder how many talented people you forced to give up their nights and weekends to make that happen

LOLOL Doom: The Dark Ages won the accessibility innovation award? WHY? They have no accessibility settings that are innovative. South of Midnight and Assassin's Creed Shadows, which are also not particularly innnovative, still put in more effort than Doom. South of Midnight deserved the award, at least they tried. What a damn joke.

@cordova5029 They're like...flat discs like on a gramophone, but instead of played from the outside, they're played from the inside. And instead of using a disposable needle, they use a shiny steel ball that bounces along the grooves and makes the sound that way. So no needle to replace. And the grooves are cut up and down, rather than side to side. Also, the ball places less wear on the record than a needle would. Unfortunately it didn't catch on outside of Europe. While it was a better system, before electronic amplification, the ball meant it was quieter than systems with a steel needle. So it just lost out because all anyone cared about was volume.

#Enshittification of website is when it's written like this:

"The last 2/3rd inch XYZ camera I personally owned was this one." where "this one" is a link to Amazon. No other detail.

Several camera rumors websites do that. Not only it's shitty, but it often rots completely as it might just be a search query on the lookup for referral fees.
