Ok, this is a weird day for me. Now I stitched together a bunch of tts engines saying the same thing that I believe was spoken in the source recording of the Infovox SA101 demonstrated by Klatt.
Right so I've redone this thing, because meh. Comparison of a bunch of software speech synthesizers against Infovox SA101 hardware synthesizer by having them all say the same text that was recorded by SA101 back in the day and used in Klatt's Demonstration of Several Milestones in Speech Synthesis recording.

I have thought for a while now that we are witnessing the end of the internet as a useful tool for anything. It's only real function now is for communication by closed, invitation only, special interest groups, families, or organizations. Literally nothing else is trustworthy now. Ads are scams, articles are fake and wrong, search will not show you what you need, just what they're trying to push. It's useless.

@Cristobalm @robini71 I think these devices are primarily being marketed in the education sector and perhaps some instances in the corporate sector. It's similar to how Kurzweil reading machines used to cost around fifty thousand dollars in the '70s.

Say I consider "Audacity" to be a frustrating program to use.
Is there a Linux audio recording program which is a little more stripped down than Audacity? Like say some sort of "voice memo" program that lets me just record voice clips and recover the wavs. Export as MP3 a bonus but not required.
Super ultra bonus points if it's in either the GNOME Software repository or on Flathub.
I remember using arecord in bash scripts to do this sort of thing. Might be worth a tinker. Pretty sure I had rec as a command which I just ctrl+c'd to send sigint when I was done and boom. You're capturing audio from your shell by typing rec.

@jscholes Anyone know the rationale for that decision? I wonder how far back that code goes. I recall using JSON in a Python project in late 2006, but maybe I was a slightly early adopter on that.
@simon The coolest part, too, is all of the endpoints. Just go to nvda.zip/a and see them all. You can put anything wrong there; the 404 page gives a list of them.
@BrailleScreen I saw that. This is going to be absurdly useful on new Windows installs in particular. Annoyingly, Windows curl seems to choke on it, but I might just be missing an option.
@simon @BrailleScreen Using it with curl is slightly annoying. It seems that curl can't automatically get the output filename from the final redirected URL. So you have to do it like this:

The center of a triangle is an interesting idea. Unlike circles, a triangleβs center isnβt always the same point because triangles arenβt generally symmetric, and there are lots of different ways to define what you mean by the center of a triangle. Years ago, when the internet was young, I remember finding Clark Kimberlingβs online Encyclopedia of Triangle Centers, which had documented hundreds of different ways to define a triangleβs center. The Encyclopedia now contains nearly 40,000 different definitions.
The four most famous triangle centers are the center of mass, circumcenter, incenter, and orthocenter. These were all known by the ancient Greeks, making them more than a couple thousand years old. All four of these can be easily demonstrated by folding paper. So get yourself some paper and scissors, and follow along.
Remarkably, some triangle centers can fall outside the triangle, especially if you use an obtuse triangleβone with at least one obtuse angle. So start your exploration with an acute triangle. To keep it interesting, try not to make your triangle too close to equilateral. Make each of the sides at least 2-3 inches long. Cut out four copies of your triangle.
