@IzzyOnDroid It looks like v1.1 of the Termux Terminal Widget app triggered VirusTotal. Not seeing anything funky, just figured I'd let you know.

I'd count the VT warnings "false positives": just 2 out of 68 engines think they found something. Google is as usual very unspecific ("found" is rather blank). Ikarus claims an SMS trojan though the app has no SMS permissions at all (does Termux have and may "relay" it? That could be). Pithus report looks OK for me, with some hints for improvements, true.

So like you, I don't see anything funky either. But thanks for sharing!

THIS IS INCREDIBLE 😃

"an mRNA cancer vaccine developed at the University of Florida successfully reprogrammed patients’ immune systems to fiercely attack glioblastoma, the most aggressive and lethal brain tumor" through "...use of a patient’s own tumor cells to create a personalized vaccine...."

FUCK CANCER. And let's see anti-vaxxers reject *this* one.

TPM2-measured boot with bus protection is pretty nice actually for Linux installations where secure boot is not enabled, like the default Arch Linux installation for instance.

For the sake of "defence in depth", I'd enable both if it is out-of-the-box feature but would not probably bother with secure boot if it requires extra work.

So, the takeaway from this is that it would make a lot of sense to make measured boot happen in arch-install installation as opt-in feature. No Microsoft key required.

Still so far the most informative overview for the shenanigans is microos.opensuse.org/blog/2023… but I'd also look for more recent references.

Policy hash calculation per kernel package update for LUKS2 is what needs to happen over time whenever a new kernel package is installed with hooks/scripts.

So the thing that was hyped to DRM the world into a locked down hellhole rendered out the Microsoft key hard binding instead 🤷

This looks interesting

Hurl is a command line tool that runs HTTP requests defined in a simple plain text format.

It can chain requests, capture values and evaluate queries on headers and body response. Hurl is very versatile: it can be used for both fetching data and testing HTTP sessions.

Hurl makes it easy to work with HTML content, #REST / SOAP / GraphQL APIs, or any other XML / JSON based APIs.

(Built with #rustlang powered by #curl)

Got very excited by @matt demo of AccessKit integration in #GTK

AccessKit is a cross-platform abstraction for accessibility infrastructure written in Rust.

His work will bring a11y support for GTK on macOS and Windows as well as for the new accessibility architecture on Linux code-named "Newton".

GNOME reshared this.

in reply to Sonny

Just watched it and it is really interesting. I am so fascinated by these completely alternative ways to interact with a computer.
The screen reader does not tell what it can see on the screen, but rather communicates directly the interface of an app to the user, its structure and content.
I hope this new accessibility stack will be ready as soon as possible! It will be like an update from #GNOME 1 (or 2?) to current (right now 46) for sighted users.

This video got me VERY excited about the prospect of a transit app that focuses on providing accessibility info! The link to Joel’s project on indiegogo is here: indiegogo.com/projects/transit…

So country singer Randy Travis released this song a week ago... Audio geeks on my timeline, does it sound like AI to you? His voice was used but AI did the singing. Unfortunately he lost his voice in 2013 due to a stroke.
Nothing beats real singing, but I say good for him. Even if you don't like AI it's not a bad song, and Randy was happy with the results.

JAWS 2024 Update Available. You can now ask further questions about an image where the answer is generated through Picture Smart. This is incredibly helpful so as to gain even more detail, and I especially find this helpful with social media images. What isn't documented is something I addressed with Vispero. When an image is scanned and processed, with the March update the Results Viewer was not always gaining focus right away. With this update, I find this only happens on very rare occasions. It is greatly improved. support.freedomscientific.com/…
