That old post about Halloween falling on Friday 13 for the first time in 666 years is making the rounds again lol. How is this even a thing, do people just share stuff without reading it first, or thinking?
I mean sure, it sounds cool, but completely impossible. October 31 can never be October 13. Also, Friday 13 pops up in October approximately once every 60 years if I remember correctly. While that's kind of rare, it's not anywhere near 666 years.
P.S. On a less serious note, it's also sad there won't be an episode 330 (country code 33 is France) and an episode 380 (country code of Ukraine is 380).

One thing I initially found confusing with @element / @matrix: How one would share and join a channel. The way you get bounced between instances for that. And in a way for @Mastodon, too.
People describe these services as "just like email". But I think the one thing that is missing for that would be a proper #URI scheme and integration in browsers for things you can join or follow in these federated networks. Email has its established "mailto:foo@example.com" for instance.

for what it's worth, I'm in Europe and that page loads just fine as is.
I'm more concerned about two things
1. The line spacing on your heading; the lines clash into each other, maybe there is a negative line spacing? and
2. When clicking on a post further down on that page, the font flickers probably because it gets loaded on demand and swaps a new font in
These two things are way more obvious than a few hundred ms initial load or paint time.
Non-US person here, what does that thing do that Desmos doesn't, and why would you want to learn it over Desmos?
I have never had the opportunity to see one, and probably won't ever have one at this point.

If you have admin rights on the computer you're using, that's if it's your computer and not theirs, that would be the easiest option I think.
Just get Ubuntu through WSL, and then look for "how to install X on Ubuntu" and you'll find plenty of tutorials. Asking Chat GPT will probably work too, with the usual caveats.
