The Postbox and Zen Postbox add-ons have been updated with a bunch of new styles!
* Solid Colors renamed to match HTML color names
* 24 new solid colors added
* 5 new gradient backgrounds added
* 17 new pattern backgrounds added
* 11 animated backgrounds added
* Fixed the load order so it overrides Postbox styles in Bookface if present
The previous solid color names have been mapped to the new ones, so any existing Postboxes in your feed using the old names will still look good.
The gradient backgrounds were ones that got missed from the initial release and are similar to the ones Facebook used to offer.
The pattern backgrounds all use pure CSS, no images, so they will render fast and do not incur an additional resource load from the server.
The animated backgrounds are exclusively available on servers that use either of the two add-ons. None of the animated styles are included in the Bookface scheme because some of them use SVG images. They use pure CSS animation as well, no JS code or animated GIF images.

Postbox (Just adds the styles, you need to manually type BBcode):

You can see a live demo of the animated ones here: randompenguin1.github.io/sampl…
They are coded to stop animating when you hover or touch them, adopting a default appearance. I did it that way because "animation-play-state" is still a bit unreliable and I liked the idea of them having a "poster" state rather than just pausing at where ever they were in the animation loop.
These are the changes and fixes in this release:
* Restyled “New Message” button to make it more obvious.
* Fixed Profile Pics and Cover Photos not working in old iOS browsers
* Moved Postbox styles to the end of the stylesheet
* Minified Postbox CSS.
* Restyled Item Responses
* Action Buttons you’ve interacted with before now adopt accent color.
* Fix for disabled Action Buttons to make it clear they are disabled.
* Fixed issue with slow-loading secondary toolbar in Safari
* Updated with Postbox version 1.1 styles
— names of solid colors now match HTML color names
— 24 new solid colors
— 5 new gradient backgrounds
— 17 new pattern backgrounds
Some of these will be fairly obvious. The big one is that the Action Buttons below posts and comments used to change to the accent color on hover and there was no indicator if you’d previously interacted with any of them. NOW they have a slight shift in darkness/lightness on hover and the accent color indicates you’ve previously clicked the Like, Dislike, Share, or Event buttons (the exceptions being Comment or Quote). If a post's scope is limited (not public) the "Share" and "Quote" buttons are now obviously disabled by being faded out.
Engagement Counts also now show an icon indicating the type of engagement, which should make it easier to see what kind of engagement a post or comment is getting. And if there are 2+ the individuals are revealed in a pop-over box rather than pushing the entire layout down.
The new Postbox pattern backgrounds are done with pure CSS, no images! So they’ll load and display fast and don’t incur additional server calls. Postboxes are just a nice looking way to dress up your text-only posts. Of course only Friendica users will see them, and only if they are using the Bookface scheme or their instance has installed one of the Postbox add-ons. The styling doesn’t transfer to other platforms (Note: there are still issues with Postbox posts shared to Diaspora and Hubzilla).
Thank you to everyone who gave me feedback, reported issues, and tested things for me to help improve Bookface for everyone. :D

I have reported this to Apple Accessibility.

in reply to Thunderbird: Free Your Inbox • • •that sounds terrible!! Why spend so much resource (time, human and money) on something so closed as Apple's ecosystem?
I think you should put effort on improving interface and other features, to a point where #Thunderbird could be a strong plus for Android.
Don't get me wrong, Thunderbird mobile is good, but it can be so improved yet!

in reply to gprimola$ • • •@giorgiolucas I don’t even understand what you are trying to say—making Thunderbird on Android so people buy Android phones instead of iPhones?
As restrictive and closed down the Apple ecosystem is, the only think I would remotely call “terrible” is ignoring a quarter of the population who happen to use another operating system

in reply to Eric Wätke • • •@cire901 "making Thunderbird on Android so people buy Android phones instead of iPhones?"
A: That's exactly what I'm suggesting.
Regarding your second statement, it's complicated to give you a full answer here, but you are totally right.
However, you're assuming that iPhone users might be unhappy with iMail, or even willing to try another email client (given the cost of that change).
And we are talking about a very corporative market, where Outlook, Gmail and even Yahoo have difficulties over iCloud.
I, for instance, dev and enthusiast of Open Source (just "recently" "aware" of the Free movement) have been on Apple's ecosystem for the past 9 years with the whole package: Mac, iPhone, iCloud, etc, and it's the dumbest thing being on Apple and not leverage that. It's the most smooth and productive setup. Apple knows it and tailor it that way.
Thus Apple's ecosystem needs to be weaken.
(continue)
gprimola$
in reply to gprimola$ • • •@cire901 and one of the ways to that is not having yet another email client on Apple Store, which helps strengthen their apps' catalogue.
I trully believe the only way @thunderbird, #Firefox, thus Mozilla to thrive, is both strengthening and weakening Apple's ecosystem, and that means not being present there and help to strengthen where it thrives - and it's not that it thrives that much - on Android.
Eric Wätke
in reply to gprimola$ • • •@giorgiolucas I totally see where you are coming from. I don’t think that a single App has the power to do that though.
I do believe however, that an E-Mail Client that supports syncing configs across devices while allowing stuff like PGP encryption has huge market-share potential.
On iOS, there is literally nothing. Looking at corporate alone I see huge potential—handing out predefined configs without a privacy compromise would be awesome!

in reply to Eric Wätke • • •@cire901 definitelly not.
Due to that long run on Apple, I use as my primary email an icloud.com account. I've been using iMail for the past 9 years and just recently I switch to Thunderbird, and man you don't know how much it hurts to go to Thunderbird. iMail is great and Thunderbird is way behind it, no question at all!! Despite all the non-email related feature, which is another waste, iMail is on the vanguard of Apple email client, and it's just there when you get a new Mac.
The only thing that keeps me using Thunderbird now is my activism against private, corporations and US digital sovereignity.
And also bacause I'm stubborn 😂😅

“Do you really want to move this message to the spam folder?” 对应 %1$d 为 1,可以得知这是在移动单封邮件下的弹出窗口消息,而使用的是翻译给出的复数格式
