I just tried one of my apks in Chrome (MediLog) and it came down without a warning. However, apkupdater_52.apk produced the red screen warning. Maybe not all links are affected,which doesn't make this any better
@thomas It seems it depends on device? Maybe the "malware list" from Google is only pulled every X hours. Some of my devices block every single link, others don't. Google "Safebrowsing" works in mysterious ways...
@SylvieLorxu and the same ones blocking now, might no longer block it after a second device did not – heard that before, on one of our previous cases. Their entire "safe" browsing thingy is out of control. I'm glad it's not active in any of my browsers… @thomas

@zash @raucao anecdotical data point to support this: I started using XMPP because it had good bridges to silos. It lead me to (modestly) contribute to slixmpp, gajim and write some prosody modules. I very much doubt bridges between proprietary silos and open networks hinder adoption of the latter. Of course, this is very hard to quantify objectively.

The Jamulus devs are trying to make the server list accessible. I am not sure about the latest workflow proposed in the latest comment. If you have thoughts, please chime in. IMHO, the best solution is to make it behave like the list view in the Finder, where you can navigate across columns and also expand and collapse folders. Not yet. If you update now, the server list is not accessible, so you can't join any server. lol They're trying to change that. That's why I'm asking people to chime in.
If you don't interact with the server list, then you can use the latest build since all my accessibility fixes are implemented. The inaccessible server list is not a regression. It never been accessible on the main build.
If they make the server list accessible, then yes you can use the latest version. That's why it's important to discuss how you want the UI for the server list to look like for screen reader.

@Scott QT accessibility is a mess, especially on Mac. There was a brief moment when they actually got the tree/table widgets speaking well, only to break it in a later QT release. Sadly you're probably not going to be able to make it so that the VoiceOver cursor can navigate inside it until QT fixes it. In TeamTalk the way they solved this is having a checkbox in the preferences to speak the selected item in lists using text to speech, and then you just treat it more like a windows app by tabbing and using the arrow keys instead of the VO cursor. QT now also includes an accessibility announcement API that speaks through screen readers directly if one is running, so what they could do is label each item with the text of all cells, and if the program is running on Mac, use the announcement API to speak it when the focus moves in the tree which is not needed on Windows because screen readers will pick it up fine there. And you will want to label the items with the text from all cells and not just the first one so that the screen reader will automatically read all columns and not just the first one. TeamTalk does this as well, IE for the files section which is a finder/explorer like view.
@pitermach @Scott Haha yes, I found that out a hard way by building it with several qt versions between 6.2.0 and 6.10.1. I guess tell users not to use VO cursor and just use up/down to go through the item, and have accessibility announcement API to announce information in all columns. Then use right/left to expand/collapse. Is that the best workflow?
@Scott I think so. In TeamTalk settings there are a few options for speech output and QTAccessibilityAnnouncement is one of them. If I switch to it then it speaks through VO without using the applescript functions

Being an iPhone user in 2026 is fucking intolerable. I lost my phone but still had Airpods in. No problem. I'll just set a timer with Siri. Except Siri won't respond because there's another pair of AirPods connected. I'm triggering it from the ones in my ears, but that doesn't matter. Finally, I get it to respond. I set a timer. I hear absolutely nothing. Just in case, I tell it to turn off Bluetooth. "You'll need to unlock your iPhone first," says Siri. I finally found it by putting on my watch and using the "Ping iPhone" feature. Except even then, I have to keep pressing the button because I guess Apple thinks a two-second audio file is enough to locate a lost phone. So why didn't I hear the timer? Because despite turning off the option to change ring volume with buttons, it was somehow turned down to 6%. I genuinely have no idea how I would have found it if not for my watch. Used a Bluetooth keyboard to change the audio destination to the speaker? I can't decide if tech is getting worse or I'm becoming less patient, but at this rate I'm going to go into seclusion from 2027 to 2036 and design my own one-of-a-kind smartphone—not because I expect it to have fewer bugs, but because at least the bugs will be mine.
FWIW, if you ask Siri to find your iPhone, it will sound for much longer than if you use the ping iPhone thing in control center. Don't know why that is, but it's a thing.
