Also: there is no such thing as a free speech absolutist. Everyone believes in reasonable limits on speech. Everyone. If you believe that defamation, libel, business fraud, and/or verbal assault should be illegal, as they are, then you're not a free speech absolutist.
You just don't want to face the possibility that *your* speech is harmful to people you pretend you care about.
If I hear about "free speech" or "the 1st amendment" as if they're equal to human life one more time, I'll scream.

@JesseF8693 Well I'd say try VMWare player 17, but there's some nasty issue with the sound at the moment, not sure why. I have older VMWare 12 and 15 and it's much better.
@BorrisInABox @JesseF8693 Things that use the old sound driver fail. AC97. If it's HD Audio it's fine. Windows 10 is fine, for example. Windows 98, ME and XP are using AC97, at least my VM's are, and they break, hard.

@abhishek We'll be expanding, yes, but for instance we'll never offer a VPN - if you do both on the same service, the email service will know your real IP even if you use a VPN, which does not make sense for privacy reasons.

@wenwizzle I never read books in the Kindle app personally, I never cared for it. I always downloaded and read elsewhere until they stopped allowing that, now I buy from Kobo and read in Paperback.

@james @pavel Někomu může vadit, že to je od Googlu. Třeba když se registrují lidí se špatným zrakem, je nutný převodu textu na řeč. No a hlavně jsem tu byl skoro 3 roky sám, tak kdo by řešil spam 😀 Je zde možnost registrace na schválení a požadovat důvod pro připojení.
@baadvo Zatím to není tak hrozný, lze vše rychle udělat přes admin rozhraní, ale mají výdrž Číňani 😀😀 Jde zablokovat e-mail doménu, ale Gmail, nebo Outlook by moc dobrý nebylo 😀😀.

I can only say: Google and RSS, FaceBook Messenger and XMPP. Nufff said. These capitalist companies only use open standards when it means more revenue, not out of conviction. As soon as they notice they don't get enough out of supporting them, they'll drop them again, leaving their users out in the cold. I find this stance by the Mastodon folks terribly naive.
