Putin práve verejne vypúšťa z úst sračky a ja sa pýtam sám seba, prečo to počúvam? Prečo si nepustím radšej Ódu na radosť alebo tak...

@NVAccess hi, will the issue of the pitch being set at 0 and capital letters not being spoken ever be fixed sir? it may seem strange but my settings are pitch set at 1, which works, inflection is set at 100. if pitch is set at 0, capitalized letters are not spoken when arrowed over. using the left and write arrow key. I'm sure someone posted an issue about this some time ago. in fact here it is. could this be looked in to? github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issue… there is no error in the log how ever, running nvda latest. I hope you would be able to help. steps to repro: nvda voice settings, set pitch to 0. press OK. 2. type something with capital letters 3. use your left and write arrow keys to navigate the letters. what should happen? nvda should speak the capital letter. what happens nothing nvda stays silent when arrowing over the capital letter.

Tesla's "Autopilot" saga has been series of deceptions. But Musk and his company have used every sleazy trick in the book to insulate their consistent malfeasance from accountability.

Maybe, just maybe, that's going to change.

People who've bought into Musk's lies should ask ask themselves some searching questions. (Sadly, they won't.)

Many years ago, I made two decisions about my public speaking: that all my talks would be recorded and publicly available -- and that I wouldn't give the same talk twice. The result has been a wide variety of talks; to help folks navigate them all, I collected them -- and have kept the list updated ever since.

I mention this, because inspired by the kind words of @nnungest, @herrbischoff, and @troglobit, I just updated the list for 2023:

One of my favorite holiday songs has alway been “Carol of the Bells.” It has such a different tone than all the others.

It was only today that I learned that a Ukrainian composer wrote the music in 1916, and that the original lyrics had nothing to do with Christmas. The song was titled “Shchedryk” which means ‘bountiful evening’ in Ukrainian. It tells the story of a swallow flying into a family’s home to tell of the bountiful new year to come.

The Ukrainian version is so beautiful. YouTube version attached if you care to listen.

You may wonder if a process scheduler is still an interesting topic. Yes, it is indeed hot recently.

One of the most recent advances is making a scheduler extensible with sched_ext, which I am working on at @igalia.

Please learn more in my blog post. This blog post will give you more details about my work and sched_ext, a cool extensible scheduler framework.

Question for web developers knowledgeable about security: do I understand correctly, from the specification of the various SameSite cookie modes (datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/…), that if a site uses a session cookie with SameSite=Lax, then users of modern browsers are safe from CSRF attacks even if no CSRF token is used? Maybe one of my heuristics for gauging web framework maturity, "does it have CSRF protection", is no longer relevant.

@fachai Hi, it's in progress, and we hope to have it integrated for the next major release

in reply to Tusky

Hi, I have some question about blocking instances. I did not find anything in your FAQ on GitHub, and I just want to understand how Tusky (lovely app, btw) works.
I wanted to block threads, but the usual guides (go to three point menu...) did not work in Tusky. I blocked threads per Web. Now, when I search in Tusky for threads, Profiles show up, but I can "unmute" them via the points menu. Is that behaviour intended? Is blocking, unlike filters, not synced (yet)? Thank you!

Bezos and Musk have it deeply wrong.
The problem isn't that we need a trillion people to have more Einsteins or Mozarts.

The problem is we don't nurture and protect the ones we have.

Stephen Jay Gould wrote: "I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops".

The most GitHub activity in a year than I ever had before. It feels unsustainable and I bet next year will be lower. I suspect my maximum is around this level. I'm 53 now. I'm not a youngster anymore! =)
