Please, if you design, develop, or sell digital products or services in the EU, read this article, it’s still shorter than the actual act, and very well explained!

@helpers Hello, I'm new to fediverse hosting. Recently started a small Friendica instance for me and my friends.
System: YunoHost 12.0.12 on VPS bought online
App: Friendica 2024.12-1~ynh1

I have huge problems with the worker queue, it periodically gets stuck for a very long time, processing nothing for hours or (more often) days (so far the maximum was 11 days) when it just grows a processes nothing. This means that my friends can't send each other private messages, public posts don't federate and any sort of permission-restricted posts get stuck on "pending" for days.

I tried running the worker.php with crontab very 5 minutes in addition to the friendica deamon, but it does not seem to help.

gnome48 has, to me, been the biggest change I can remember.
Don't know if it's the font , or colours were changed or the increased smoothness, but everything looks smoother and clearer. We're at the point where even just using gui controls I have no hiccups where I'd pull out the terminal during normal use.
Everything feels so high quality and polished with all edges smoothed down. Truly an impressive release!

Tag 22 im Fediverse - Schau was flattert da in mein E-Mail-Postfach.

Ich oute mich jetzt hier: Ich habe bislang ziemlich viel zu Google Maps beigetragen, weil ich ein großer Fan davon bin, meine Erkenntnisse, Fotos und Informationen mit anderen zu teilen. 🙈

Künftig möchte ich auch hier etwas neues ausprobieren. Gerade habe ich die App "StreetComplete" entdeckt, mit der ich wohl ziemlich einfach zu OpenStreetmap beitragen kann. Gibts im Playstore und auch bei F-Droid.

Ich schaue mal noch, wo ich Renzensionen, Fotos etc. jetzt hinpacke, bin noch am Einarbeiten in OpenStreetmap und freue mich auch auf vielleicht ganz andere Dienste, die da noch auf Ihre Entdeckung warten.

Habt Ihr spannende Tipps, wo ihr etwas beitragt?
