@MapComplete Could cafés be included in the restaurant category as well?
I'm often just looking for places to eat and don't care whether a place is officially labeled "café" or "restaurant".
I'd also really like to answer some questions about cafés which are currently restaurant exclusive like whether a place offers vegan food.
On the other hand, I've never looked for either a café or a bar at the same time
I just tried out the new panoramax integration and it works great! 🎉
Hopefully @everydoor and @streetcomplete consider integrating Panoramax in the future too. (:
@MapComplete btw, I got "yelled at" on OSM for adding a lot of images of menus in restaurants using MapComplete.
One of the reasons cited was not having a license for taking image of the menu and another was some restaurants not wanting to publish their prices on the internet.
While I don't agree with either of these arguments it might be useful to add a hint about asking restaurant staff about publishing these images.
I'd be very curious about opinions on the topic in any case!

#OrganicMaps is primarily about viewing and navigating maps. While you can use it to add things, I believe those things are mainly shops, businesses, etc. (and even then it's quite limited).
For #micromapping (adding trees, rocks, fire hydrants, benches, etc.) @everydoor is a really good option.
Cela m'a pris pas mal d'heures de travail, mais je suis fière d'avoir contribué parallèlement à #OpenStreetMap (#OSM) et à #WikimediaCommons en y ajoutant les #sculptures installées dans le #parc devant l'Eglise de #Giubiasco (#Bellinzona).
Je ne comprends pas, par contre, pourquoi il n'y a aucun site web qui fait la promotion de ce #patrimoine artistique...

At first I just looked at how several features are already tagged, then slowly started to correct wrong data and then add missing details.
I use #StreetComplete app to add details on walk travels,
#OsmAnd app to add POIs and of course the iD web editor for larger edits.
I am especially impressed by the iD editor. It's so helpfull with clever use of autocomplete and linking to #OSM wiki...
The best reward is 3D view becoming more realistic...

Do you use the OSM API directly? Make an OSM App? We're dropping support for certain insecure, legacy authentication methods. If you're using them in your app, it risks breaking! _(If this is gibberish to you, you're probably not affected)_
OSM API will remove support for HTTP Basic Auth, & OAuth 1.0a. You'll have to migrate to the modern OAuth 2.0 feature, which is very well supported.

The Operations Working Group is shutting down OAuth 1.0a and HTTP Basic Auth in 2024. They have been deprecated since 2023 and their role in authorization has replaced by OAuth 2.0 which the standard authorization method for most systems.OpenStreetMap Community Forum
