Kasasa is an app for you're taking a screenshot for your own reference and you want it's contents easily accessible. For these ephemeral snapshots, the app can hold them in it's own window. It's best used when you set said window to "Always on Top". If it's blocking something important, just turn it transparent by mousing over it. Capture and hold screenshots with Kasasa!

fyi to linux users, the unofficial signal desktop flatpak doesnt use the freedesktop Secrets API no matter what you do and leaves your keys completely unencrypted
you can just dump ~/.var/apps/org.signal.Signal and read everything stored
if you're concerned, you should probably use the native package
The latest update to Butler for GNOME 47 is out! Designed for GNOME, works anywhere you can get Flatpak.
Adwaita is really pretty freaking great. It makes designing responsive apps just… easy?? Here’s an update to Butler, my Home Assistant app, for GNOME 47 and Adwaita 1.6.
Update coming soon to Flathub!

Anyone knows why #gnome-software and #KDE #discover are so slow with #flatpak?
Like often when I'm downloading sth. I can't browse apps or they load for ages. Using the website works instantly.
It feels and is a lot more reliable to use flatpak from the terminal in my experience, I wonder why the #GUI stores have these problems.
Also often had long load times in those stores on #linux mobile.
Did you also experienced such issues? Are you a gnome/kde dev and know where it could come from?
Speech to Text on Linux?!?!
I just found "Speech Note" when searching the Software app.
Installed it via flatpak.

Used the "English (Vosk Large)" and "English (Vosk Small)" language model with very decent results. There are loads of models to choose from.
All processed locally. No network needed!
This is great!

Picker is a simple app; give it a list of items and let it pick one out for you! It can help make decisions, picking from tasks you haven't started but really should, or it can help you decide what you want for lunch, picking from ingredients in your fridge! Once the app has selected an item, Picker gives you the option to copy it or even to remove it from the list entirely!

Shout out to Text Pieces! I needed to URL-encode a big ugly string (creating a template form from URL parameters, yay!) and yep, sure enough, it made it stupidly easy.
The next time you need to encode, transform, or convert some text on Linux, reach for this pretty little offline app instead of pasting your data into some random website. 👍

Like it or not, most of our brains are wired to use decimal, and they struggle converting numbers to other bases. The Binary app lets you convert your base 10 number to binary, and your hexadecimal back to decimal, whatever conversion you require. It even tells you how many bits are required to store the value you give it, and their associated magnitude!

You may have seen the “Verified” badge on apps from Flathub which shows that the developer has proven ownership of their app, e.g. via their website or code host.
With great adoption (nearly 1,000 verified apps!), we’re trying something out to help with transparency:
⚠️ Unverified
If you see this, it flags that the app has not been verified by its developer—it’s effectively a community-maintained package.
