💬 WECHSEL von #K9mail auf @thunderbird

UPDATE:

Dear @thunderbird people ... when viewing my email, I want to be able to hover over a link (1) to figure out if it's obviously dodgy .... please can you make the real url appear in a large font - perhaps as an on hover bubble or something - rather than putting it in small text in the bottom of the window (2) where various other status updates go (and overwrite it), making it hard to see.

I still support my 87-year-old English teacher with her computer. It started in 2003 when I was 15. We bought her a PC, set up a WEB.DE email, and installed @thunderbird to avoid WEB.DE’s bloated UI. We’ve replaced the computer twice, but she still uses the same email address in #Thunderbird.

Today, she called and asked me to help her donate €50 to Thunderbird. When she hears how others struggle with ad-filled webmail, she’s always grateful for her clean, simple setup.

What an awesome move!

Our May Mobile Progress Report shows how we're:
*getting ready for JMAP in iOS
* planing early for TestFlight
* coordinating localization for both apps
* asking for feedback with the Android beta
* improving the account drawer and more

Ok, the #Thunderbird chat interface for IRC and Matrix seems to have #a11y issues with #NVDA now. Sometimes NVDA completely freezes, especially when the interface is maximised, though not reliably in all channels. I filed a bug, appreciate anyone who can dig into what on earth is going on: bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.…
