Some arguments people use in the discussion about #DHCPv6 support in #Android are just ridiculous: “very SOPHISTICATED firewall,” “IPXE,” “part of the IPv6 spec” 🙄

I'm sort of getting allergic to mentions starting like “RFC says that…” without quoting the exact document.

A comment in Google issue tracker number #396 reading: I just activated a DHCPv6 network with a VERY sophisticated firewall meant to measure and assess active threats real time. It needs a DHCPv6 server to keep track of clients, assess potential threat actors, conduct ddns operations, as well as run an IPXE provisioning system. Android marking this as WON'T FIX is LUDICROUS! This is part of the IPv6 spec and Android not implementing it means that they do not adhere to the spec. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE

Looks good on screenshots. No more 90s #netscape look (I know it was a browser) and it seems now it'a usable for me 👍 To the older versions my brain always said no. ... I don't know if I will try it, because my web login works superb. Maybe when my actual #android client #k9mail will be renamed to #thunderbird then I could use it on desktop as well. Let's see.
