open source maintainers, i encourage you to follow daniel’s wonderful example here.

i sincerely hope many of you do end up with support contracts in place. not holding my breath, but it’s not a crazy thought to imagine corporate users paying for support. i hear some of them do it all the time.

#superman

One of the most common forms of racism and hate in the fedi is hyper focus on Black and Brown folks to ignore or cover for hateful behavior.

My work has exposed me to some truly disgusting behavior on the fedi. There are actual bad people who have committed themselves to harmful and really gross dehumanizing behavior. Just the other day, I had to deal with a white nationalist trying to gaslight me into thinking they were ‘reasonable.’

I find there is an overemphasis on policing the timelines of Black and Brown folks to ignore or even protect the actual perpetuators of harm in this space.

There is an expectation constantly being projected onto Black and Brown folks to be perfect in every action and thought we have in this space to be ‘worthy’ of civility that is not applied to any other group of people, especially white folks.

This, of course, is a pillar of white supremacy culture.

whitesupremacyculture.info/one…

When people say this space is anti-Black, it’s not only because of the obvious hatefulness we see. That’s just a small part of it.

The larger piece is that there is an enforced standard for Black folks that is not applied to anyone else.

That act is racism being reinforced by people across the political spectrum.

Sorry for being late to the party. I suggest you don't include the FW 60W charger in your order and buy a decent 100W one separately. For example, Ugreen, but there is a good selection of USB PD GaN power bricks on the market.
The reason being 60W is not enough to power the L13 under load, so you will experience constant jumping between battery and AC power.
Source: I own one. I can provide a link to a forum thread on this if needed.

Can Mastodon handle crappy, and I mean really crappy quality audio? This is an 8K sample rate, 8 kilobits per second MP3. It's the Samsung washer song, being played by an instrument I made in Surge, the details of which are mostly lost due to the extreme downsampling and lossy encoding.

Boosts appreciated: I am working on an #accessibility wiki, because info on accessibility for #blind people is fragmented. It is not ready for public release, but I would like to invite volunteers to help me improve the site. I need to get web devs, server maintainers, moderators, writers, and whoever else would be able to contribute. Please send me a DM if you're interested.

in reply to UnifiedPush

Even as a non-developer, I found this well written article of great interest. It explained a few things about #UnifiedPush I wasn't aware of, and has given me better insight into how it functions.

It's clear now that there simply isn't any excuse for developers to use #FCM for notifications. I sincerely hope UnifiedPush will gain traction, not only amongst #FOSS developers, but the Android developer community at large.

It's perhaps worth noting that users of #Conversations (and its forks) already have a distributor included in their client, thus further lowering the bar of entry.

Kupovali jsme permici do Lazni a dlouho vyslychali nebohou pokladni.

LibreOffice's codebase is absolutely massive (~50M lines according to cloc?), and it very much got me beat the other day, when I "speedran" a scant 2 bugfixes in 7 hours.

So today, I'm going for a rematch! Let's see if better tools (rr, ctags) and better understanding of #LibreOffice code is going to be enough for me to get a bugfix in under 2 hours for #BugsDoneQuick! :joy:

You've heard of #scala language that works on the jvm. You also heard about scala native target to native (C) and interoping with that world side stepping the #jvm...

Now get ready for #clojure (jvm language) and it's target to Cpp.
