This was a great post! I'm curious from a technical standpoint, does having screen layout on or off use any more CPU while loading content in browse mode? This is just something I get curious about sometimes, or if one will load content faster.
@BTyson it can certainly impact speed of browsing. if you're using something like a neural voice, for example, sending a massive string with a single line of 20 horizontal links has a significant speech output delay when compared with browse mode off. No worse than reading a whole paragraph further down the page, of course, but perhaps more common, depending on the sorts of sites one browses.

I searched and I only found a link to "Lies, damned lies, and statistics" article on Wikipedia. After understanding the context a bit, I wasn't sure about the link between this and the localisation web app, so I asked in the @gnome I18n room on Matrix, and Alexandre generously explained it.
