Add alt text to images on Mastodon if you want to add more visibility to your images. It gives your readers a hint about the image you have added in case their internet speed is low or they have an issue with loading images.
Ty kráso. Jelikož nemám TV ani TV tuner, tak jsem se jal prozkoumat jestli má COOL živé vysílání na internetu. Stihl jsem to těsně před začátkem reklamního bloku... Třináct minut! Slovy TŘINÁCT minut reklam. :D
Pro člověka, který nemá TV asi 10 let je tahle délka překvapením. Já si pamatuji reklamní bloky s délkou tak 5 min.
@baadvo Jako, ty reklamy, to je takový děs. Jak se dívám jenom na ČT, tak už jsem si taky odvykl. A ještě má Prima málo a kvůli toho chce další a další kanály.
@archos @baadvo Televizi nemám už cca 15 let. Ale to, co Prima předvádí, mě fakt štve. Nechá si zaplatit od ISP za každý kanál/zákazníka a ještě vydělává na reklamách, kdy ISP nesmí dovolit jejich přetáčení. Já bych tohle chování definoval hodně hrubě. Tak se omezím jen, že jsem netušil, že tohle by bylo možné i u nás a že to je pro Primu takový krásný double win. Když to lidem za ty ptákoviny stojí... Připomnělo mi to jeden vtip: Tak si koukám na reklamy a najednou film....
@archos @baadvo Když tu absurditu shrnu do jedné věty - zákazníci platí Primě za to, že může vydělávat sledováním jí vysílaných reklam. To je přeci krásné, ne? Já se v dnešní době pomalu mám stydět za to, že jsem ISP jen proto, že někdo na nás ukázal prstem, že ISPci jsou ti špatní (před tím byli operátoři). A tady se to jede ve velkým a všechno cajk... Dnešní svět fakt nechápu.
There is no more famous pirate in East Asia than the woman known in the West as Ching Shih, her true historical name being Zheng Yi Sao, Pirate Queen of the South China Seas. Taking over for her husband, she proved an even more capable pirate and many flocked to her, women especially, for her egalitarian attitude and redistribution of wealth from the aristocratic Qing Chinese government. Even aided by Portuguese ships, the Chinese could not capture her and could not stop her fleet. At her height, she sailed a fleet of 400 ships with 40 to 60 thousand sailors. When the end came and she surrendered, Zheng Yi Sao could not be killed by the Chinese due to her power and influence, and instead a retirement was negotiated, one that was quite favorable to her and allowed her an easy life: for a pirate career spanning 10 years from 1801 to 1810, that's quite something. She retied to Guangdong, running an infamous gambling house and dying at the comfortable and respectable age of 66 in 1844: hail the Pirate Queen of China! #FairytaleTuesday

@stary_mrzout no zkoušel jsem to, ale nakonec jsem to stejně na většině svých účtů vypnul. Ale samozřejmě na širokém monitoru to má jisté výhody, ale je snadný se v tom ztratit.
Jo, to používám. Ale někdy přemýšlím, že mi to moc nedává smysl. Ty dvě časové osy jsou často téměř stejné a je v tom trochu chaos. To byl asi po přechodu z Twitteru největší "problém", zvyknout si na jiné, a hlavně trochu jinak se chovající, prostředí. Teď už cajk.

@archos @margo Podle mě jsou nejlepší kávy právě z Afriky. Já mám nejradši Kongo, Burundi a Etiopii... Moje žena zase radši jihoamerické. Ty nesou tak zemité a tak trochu "kyselé"...Záleží hodně na odrůdě a pochopitelně na preferencích...
Hey sighted gamers, I'm gonna try to get you to step out of your comfort zone a bit. Yes, believe it or not, despite the game I'm about to promote, this post is not for the blind gamers out there... unless you somehow haven't played it before. Anyway, here goes. While writing my book, I've been tempted to play some games again, and one of them is a game called alt-frequencies. It's a game where the entire story is told in the form of radio broadcasts which you can influence by recording clips from one station and sending them to another. The game is mostly linear, however you can affect the story by sending different clips to different stations, and yes, there are multiple endings. It has minimal graphics, but this game is all about the audio. Sighted gamers, step out of your comfort zone. Try it. It's available on PC, Switch, and mobile, and it's very high-quality. Does it make any difference at all with screen readers? The theme - as far as I understand it - only changes the CSS. Or in other words, does a screen reader read websites differently if the CSS is different?
@mark22k Yes, certain unusual CSS patterns that make sense from the perspective of the visual side may disrupt the screen reader experience i.e. items that should be hidden are still discoverable with a screen reader, the order of elements in the DOM may not correspond with the designer's intention and the visual order etc.
My understanding is that GUIs are usually worse than TUIs for #blind users. Sadly, I don't know of any #TUI for #OpenWRT (well, there's the command line, obviously, and there's a class-project over at github.com/mattacwilson/OpenWR…, but that's no replacement for LuCI 😞)
