Imane Khelif is a cis woman, she has experienced 9 losses against other women in her career, including the 2020 Olympics where she lost against Irish participant Kellie Harrington. Yet, the usual transphobes are currently unleashing a vile attack against her, misgendering her, accusing her of being a man competing unfairly and having some sort of advantage against her fellow athletes, all because she doesn't fit their incredibly limited norm of how a woman should look.
Suddenly, people who never cared or know much about the sport are very interested in women's boxing, and found a scapegoat in her in order to spread their disinformation. Khelif is currently receiving more vitriol than convicted child rapist Steven van de Velde who was still allowed to compete.
This is basically yet another reminder that it was never about genuinely caring for the safety of women. Transphobia is dangerous for everyone, *including* us cis women, and that the links between TERF ideology and white supremacy are very real. Feminism isn't feminism if it's not intersectional.

Lin Yu-ting originally got into boxing wanting to protect her mother from domestic violence, which clearly shows that she has experienced domestic abuse first hand.
Imane Khelif grew up in poverty, she started boxing when she became good at dodging the physical attacks of boys in her village, traveled 10km to train, and had to work to pay for her own bus fare, as her father didn't approve of boxing for girls. An experience that a lot of girls who grew up having so-called "tomboy" interests are probably familiar with. I know I am. Not that the transphobia and clear racist undertones of attacking these two women, despite the fact that they are both cis, aren't horrible enough, but there's something particularly sinister and cruel in the fact that the people who decided to paint them as villains and keep circulating disinformation about both, claim to act in the name of ending violence against women and protecting women's rights.

For now, I'm not making checkpoints available due to them being unstable.
While initial results are promising, I discovered an issue with FFT parameters. Fixed it, and currently waiting for the server to become available to fine-tune with corrected data.
Upon getting consistent output quality, I'll publish an online demo, and make the pretrained checkpoints available via HuggingFace.
If Codeberg is trying to "compete" against GitHub and GitLab, why does it refuse to take a look at AI assistants? Tip for #android users:
If you search for simple utility apps on #google's play store it will almost always give you a bunch of options that contain ads or ask for unnecessary permissions.
F-Droid is an alternative app store for android devices which exclusively lists apps published under the AGPL (a #copyleft / free-software / open-source license). It's possible to install F-Droid on a normal Android OS via its APK, but that can be intimidating.
Most of the apps on F-Droid are *also* available on the play store. So, even if you aren't ready to fully switch out of Google's ecosystem, you can still use F-Droid's search as a better way to find options that are (in my experience) free of ads and surveillance.
Each app features a page which links to their source code, which usually has a README file, which usually points to their page on the play store.

I haven’t even watched the 2023 movie; I just watched FilmJoy’s pet goldfish react to the movie last night, which prompted me to look up the 2023 version of the song and I loved it.
Ursula’s multi-layered manipulation in the song always kind of terrified me as a nine-year-old (I listened to it so many times growing up) because I doubted that I wouldn’t fall for such a ruse if it was less transparent:
- deception without outright lies.
- rushing the decision with “I’m a busy woman and I haven’t got all day”.
- preying on a teenager’s first experience with both lovesickness and an abusive father.
- simplifying a complex life-changing decision to the deceptively easy action of agreeing to a contract.
- physically pulling her closer to egg her on to sign the contract, making it even easier for Ariel to do it in a split decision.
- hiding her true motivations of wanting Ariel to fail to uphold her end of the contract, to enslave her as a bargaining chip for the throne.
The rest of the movie was pretty mid with questionable messages (“Kiss the Girl” was so problematic), but “Poor Unfortunate Souls” was not among its long list of problems.

Ale je to už dobrých 18 mesiacov čo sa tento balónik vypustil a nejaký výraznejší posun, dokonca ani v aplikáciách kde sa dá na prvú očakávať, že by to mohlo mať naozaj zásadný prínos to poriadne nevidno. Naopak skôr vnímam nabaľujúci sa bludný kruh detských chýb a nových problémov.
