Prostě mi sedí jednoduchost a systém bez kravin.

I think I misread your initial message. I thought you went back to the stock Android because of the Android Auto issues. I didn't read it as a criticism though, I just thought you found the stock OS more usable because Android Auto worked better there and I wanted to see if it was possible to work around your issue. Anyway, glad I could help you with the link and glad to hear you are actually still a happy GrapheneOS user.

@tranquil_cassowary Yeah, I get it — I probably didn’t explain it very clearly in my original post.
I only tried stock Android briefly for testing, but I went straight back to GrapheneOS 😄

Thanks a lot for the help and the link — I really appreciate it.
I’ve been using GrapheneOS since the Pixel 2 XL 😃
Every now and then I try stock Android with Google, but honestly, GrapheneOS does everything I need.

My sense is that Big Tech is increasingly realizing that they've bought into a gigantic fail with LLM generative AI systems, but they don't dare admit it because they realize they could instantly tank the stock market and their own firms. So they just keep playing along as if everything is great, and desperately hope that something will happen to save them before they roll right off the cliff and straight into Hell, dragging the rest of us along too. Though they don't care about that last part.

This week's In-Process is out. Featuring all the news on NVDA 2025.2, info on the upcoming NVDA 2025.3, a recap on restarting after updating (no we're not about to enforce that!) and a look into the namesake feature of Microsoft Windows... and just how complicated ARE the Windows+arrow key commands? (Very, but we break it down for you!) All that and more, available now: nvaccess.org/post/in-process-2…

I've finally just submitted the RFC series for USB3 support on Apple Silicon machines. RFC because the entire Type-C machinery spans multiple subsystems and has quite a few quirks which makes the entire thing rather annoying to deal with and I'm not 100% convinced about the current approach.

This also includes some initial work for DisplayPort-altmode and USB4/Thunderbolt but both will require much more work after this is upstream, so don't get your hopes up just yet.

Here's a lovely article about Randy Rhoads from our friends at @GuitarWorld:

One thing I didn't know is Randy triple-tracked his solos. WTF? Who can play that consistently? Well, surely Fripp, and Randy too I reckon.

Interesting that the local network will actually continue to work pretty well if your #DHCP server just...forgets to give out the DNS addresses for a couple days. Windows, IOS, OSX, Android, and Debian will all just kinda roll with it. That's not to mention annoying stuff like Firefox that refuses to use your system provided #DNS by default because it's special. But you get weird failures with anything custom (tvs, cameras, etc). So anyway, that was what I spent my evening diagnosing.

if these calculations are to be believed:

> One of Google's larger and thirstier data centers, in Oklahoma, is said to use 833 million gallons per year (that's about 2500 acre-feet, in useful terms). It occupies about 250 acres.

> The number of households that can be supported on 1 acre-foot per year ranges from 2 to 6

> apartments are around 50 dwellings per acre, minimum

Housing consumes a lot more water than datacenters do
