I recently reorganised my free-to-use music tracks folders so you can see which have been uploaded to youtube and therefore might get hit by content ID and which have not.
Anyone is free to download and use anything from this folder they like. Proper attribution is the only expectation I have for your use of these files.

On the 13th of august this year Česká spořitelna, a.s. have published an update to their #George banking app for #Android. that completelly disables #accessibility support when no white listed accessibility service is running on the device.
Thus #czech blind users who have updated their George app to the latest version can't run other accessibility services on their phones besides white listed apps such as TalkBack. I don't know which other apps are white listed yet.
I am afraid other Erste Bank subsidiaries or partner banks might do the same thing in the future. So this might potentially affect #austrian and #slovak blind people.
Here are the version numbers:
George Österreich 26.22.21 - appears to be accessible
George Slovensko 26.22.19 - Appears to be accessible
George Česká republika 26.26.21 - No longer accessible with 3rd party screen readers.

@Paweł Masarczyk @Mathias Schmuckerschlag When side loading before the system allows you to enable the accessibility service you need to go to the settings app, then look for the app in question under applications, expand the more options under so called three dots menu and first allow secure settings from there. Afterwards system will allow you to enable the accessibility service. Also when side loading any app not just accessibility services you have to enable unknown app sources per application where you are installing from e.g. your web browser, your file manager and similar. So for non play store distributed apps you have to pass three layers of system security before the banking app protection has a chance to even do its job. If this trend will continue then we are likelly to get more layers of security and verification. Also next year google is tighting ability to side load apps even more difficult by waiting 24 hours in order to enable side loading at all.
My thinking is that if the accessibility service would not be so usefull people would rather choose not to pass all these extra hoops in order to get it installed and operational.

A young guy from North Dakota moves to Florida and goes to a big “everything under one roof” department store looking for a job.
The Manager says, “Do you have any sales experience?” The kid says “Yeah. I was a vacuum salesman back in North Dakota.”
Well, the boss was unsure, but he liked the kid and figured he’d give him a shot, so he gave him the job.
“You start tomorrow. I’ll come down after we close and see how you did.”
His first day on the job was rough, but he got through it. After the store was locked up, the boss came down to the sales floor.
“How many customers bought something from you today?” The kid frowns and looks at the floor and mutters, “One”. The boss says “Just one?!!? Our sales people average sales to 20 to 30 customers a day.
That will have to change, and soon, if you’d like to continue your employment here. We have very strict standards for our sales force here in Florida. One sale a day might have been acceptable in North Dakota, but you’re not on the farm anymore, son.”
The kid took his beating, but continued to look at his shoes, so the boss felt kinda bad for chewing him out on his first day. He asked (semi-sarcastically), “So, how much was your one sale for?”
The kid looks up at his boss and says “$101,237.65.
The boss, astonished, says $101,237.65?!? What the heck did you sell?”
The kid says, “Well, first, I sold him some new fish hooks. Then I sold him a new fishing rod to go with his new hooks. Then I asked him where he was going fishing and he said down the coast, so I told him he was going to need a boat, so we went down to the boat department and I sold him a twin engine Chris Craft. Then he said he didn’t think his Honda Civic would pull it, so I took him down to the automotive department and sold him that 4×4 Expedition.”
The boss said, “A guy came in here to buy a fish hook and you sold him a boat and a TRUCK!?” The kid said “No, the guy came in here to buy tampons for his wife, and I said, ‘Dude, your weekend’s shot, you should go fishing.’”

I finally managed to finish a song this year! For some reason, I just haven't been able to muster up the energy to work on music much this year, which is sad because it's something that usually really energises me. Anyway, I present this first piece for 2026, simply entitled "Stuck".

My buddy Rachel put a new album out recently. Kinda jazzy/fusiony/proggy tunes. She's playing most of the things and self-producing/mixing. Essentially uses the computer like a tape recorder, mixes about as much as you would with a basic hardware board and that's that. It's astounding to me that one person can do all this without any of the mischief I rely on every time I open the DAW.
Give your earsies a puff of this and pass it along.

@chikim @prism You know, I really hate the fact that as a platform, I think Bandcamp is the best thing artists can distribute their muisic on in terms of how much they can get back from it, especially on a Friday when they take almost no cut from the sales, and as a user we get the highest quality record that no one can take from you or randomly change. Objectively YouTube is a far worse platform, I think maybe only kind of useful for promotion more than anything but especially now it's flooded by AI slop. But yeah the accessibility in places could be better, the buttons you have to mouse click on and hopefully your screen reader will go to where the button is. How likely is that to be fixed, if it hasn't for this long and especially now that most of the staff was layed off, I don't know :(
Anyway, to not end on a negative, this album is really cool. Impressive it was produced how you described it.
A convolution reverb with 190 places in it. None of them recorded —
each room is built from an acoustics model, so making the room bigger
builds a bigger room, and walking away from the source moves you.
Every control speaks its value. Real metres, not percentages. Zero
degrees means facing the source in all 190 rooms. No custom plugin
window, deliberately — a drawn interface would look better and work
worse.
Huge thanks to my musical icon and brother, @Matthew2468 for ideas and contributions.

As many of you know, I once had a little project studio, originally a basement room, then later an apartment bedroom.
For the past 6.5 years, I have not had access to any of my studio gear, and I'm not sure if I ever will again.
One of the pieces of gear I have in that currently inaccessible collection is a Warp Factory vocoder, a wonderful thing from about 1999 or so, used by the likes of Fact Punk. I think they even had something to do with it's development.
The Warp Factory is a 24-band LPC-based vocoder with a stereo modulator and stereo carrier input, plus an intelligent passthrough for unvoiced sounds, which gives it an unusually broad and extremely clear sound not generally found with such devices. In other words, if you want that classic 70s/80s vocoder sound, this won't do it. It's just too big and full sounding, for better or worse, depending on what style you're looking for.
Years ago, I came across MDA Talkbox, which, while it doesn't have the super huge low-end frequency response or the unvoiced passthrough mode, in many other respects, it sounds very similar to the Warp Factory with all of it's filters straight up.
At my request (I think), @FreakyFwoof did a port of MDA Talkbox to Schwung for Ableton Move, which I recently forked. I made three major changes to the original by adding unvoiced passthrough mode, which uses a narrow band of frequencies and four orders of filtering centered around fricative and sibilant sounds to mute the vocoder and pass that through when detected, changed the coefficients for a higher LPC order, and added low-end restoration to bring out the bottom end of the output, which is a little more than just adding an EQ.
With all that stuff disabled, it sounds exactly like the original.
I have now released a forked version of MDA Talkbox, called MDA Talkbox Plus, in VST3/AU form for Mac and Windows, which adds those features, plus fricative gain.
Note: the Mac version is unsigned, because I'm currently too cheap to have an Apple developer cert, but this will at some point be rectified. Instructions for running it anyway are in the readme.
If you want to play, it can be found here:

I Made Tinnitus My Friend (Then It Disappeared)
Exploring the world of sounds and the passion behind myNoise, with Dr. Ir. Stéphane PigeonDr. Ir. Stéphane Pigeon (myNoise)
Just wanted to share a project I've been actively working on with @morganlynn1992 and @Tamasg.
We're developing an open-source accessibility project for The Sims 4 with the goal of making the game independently playable for blind players.
It's still very much a work in progress, but it's already capable of exposing nearby objects and interactions, phone actions, inventories, gameplay notifications, purchases, object placement, and much more through an accessible interface.
If you're passionate about making mainstream games accessible, or if you've always wanted to play The Sims but couldn't because of its lack of accessibility, we'd love to hear from you. We're especially interested in people who would like to contribute whether through testing, modding, programming, documentation, or simply sharing ideas and feedback.
If this sounds interesting, feel free to reach out to any of us! We're excited to see where this project goes, and we'll have more to share as development continues.

Together with a friend, I built BookAmp, a plugin that should appeal to anyone who listens to content that needs to be sped up or made easier on the ears.
You can adjust playback speed, pitch, or both at the same time. It also includes a multi-stage limiter with adjustable settings, plus filters that improve clarity. Fans of the classic radio sound will probably notice a few similarities to some of the biggest players on the market. ;)
BookAmp is open source and available here:

I've been using REMSound by @ednun_p to carry not just system sound, but any input on the system if I want. Has super-low latency options as well. Is quite fantastic.
Added:
Sound card ring, which allows you to move between active sound cards by using CTRL+Shift+7 (for previous) and CTRL+Shift+8 (for next).
Option to start the app minimized.
Fixed:
Name of the option "Always minimize" in settings has been changed to "Minimize instead of closing after Alt+F4" because the old name would confuse someone.

@ondrosik Podľa mňa to bude tým language filtrom vo friendica.
@ondrosik Okay, I've figured it out.
On the Account settings page of the friendica there are links to different areas such as Account, Two factor authentication, Additional features, Display and more. Select Addons within these links and then there are some expandable tab pannels on the resulting page. One of them is Language filter. Once this is expanded there is a text entry labelled as "Language selection". It's a comma seperated list of language code abbreviations I speak. I have put cs,en,sk into that box and my issue was that before fixing it today I had spaces there after each comma. And that was filtering english posts for me.
Now it's all fixed.
