#Introduction

Hi! The Moment is a #Podcast about #DoctorWho.

On each episode of The Moment, I speak with a different guest about an individual moment in an episode of Doctor Who that they have a lot to say about.

The show is currently on hiatus, but it will be back soon! I hope to have more info for you in May 2023.

In the mean time, why not listen to an episode from our archive? They're all good!

True story: Mozilla's @mconley is a legend. (Also, he worked on Mozilla Messenger, and is responsible for #Ubuntu shipping with Thunderbird!)

His enthusiasm is so contagious that just listening to this podcast might turn you into a software engineer! Join us for ThunderCast episode 2 as we reminisce about the early days of the internet, and talk about Firefox features more people should be using.

I can't remember if I shared this #podcast or not. If I already have, my bad. For those who like #ASMR and soft spoken reading, this podcast will put you to sleep in minutes. The host reads boring books, my favourite so far being the 1897 Sears catalogue. Wow, I can't believe the prices of things 126 years ago. Inflation, ha! More like greed. Anyway, before I go off on a tangent, check out this totally #boring podcast. If the subject doesn't put you to sleep, the #soothing voice will. castro.fm/podcast/24008936-27d…

@udoge
We know of some (open source) web players, and of some mobile & desktop apps with gPodder sync. But a combination of the two; to the best of our knowledge that doesn't exist, unfortunately.

Podcasting 2.0: it's all about Interoperability #fosdem

How Podcasting 2.0 will save the Open Internet

Podcasting has been around for 20 years. Many revolutions have happened since then: DSL connections, smartphones, social networks, artificial intelligence everywhere… But Podcasting stayed still and its decentralized architecture resisted to the big corporations. In this talk we will show how the Podcasting 2.0 community is reinventing Podcasting by adding tons of new features, while keeping all this interoperable. We will quickly demonstrate how this actually works with Castopod, an open-source podcast hosting solution.

This talk was given at FOSDEM 2023.

If you would like to be up-=to-date with happenings in Europe in regards to blind and partially sighted people, the European Blind Union has just launched a new podcast today called EBU In Action.
It is a bit of shameless promo as yours truely is one of the hosts so I hope you don't mind me and we look forward to the feedback.
In our pilot, we go over the current campaigns and initiatives the EBU is involved in, we find out about the expectations and fears of blind people regarding Connected and Autonomous Vehicles and we finish off with our correspondent's section where we go to Italy to check what is new for blind people there.
If you have suggestions of topics that should be brought up in future episodes, feel free to share.

One of my favourite podcasts, Talk Description to Me, has returned from their hiatus for a Christmas special | ‘This year, to celebrate the season, we'd like to make this small Christmas offering: a reading of How The Grinch Stole Christmas by the one-and-only Dr. Seuss. But Christine is Christine, JJ is JJ, and this is Talk Description to Me, so in our reading of the classic Christmas tale, a few descriptions of the picture book illustrations have been woven into the text in playful Seussian rhyme!’
