Esta noticia es increíble. Una mujer come en un restaurante de Disney y, después de preguntar y pedir repetidas veces si la comida no tenía ciertos alimentos a los que era alérgica, y de ser asegurada, repetidamente que no los llevaba, muere por una reacción alérgica a la comida.

El marido denuncia al restaurante por negligencia y ahora Disney quiere desestimar la denuncia porque la mujer una vez se apuntó a una prueba gratuita de un mes de Disney+, y entre los T&C aceptas uno que dice que cualquier disputa que tengas con la empresa deber resolverse con ella (y no a través de los tribunales).

@matrix I know you worked on encryption and key exchange in the latest iterations, but you made it worse.

That is freaking not usable. A new contact added by ID in 1to1 chat, "Never send encrypted messages to unverified sessions.." not activated. Just a brand new contact.

Not working at all. Trying to get users to #Matrix like that won't work.

It's not only old-style looking, heavy and non-intuitive, it's just not working at all.

Готовые средства обхода. Waujito написал своё решение под линукс (github.com/Waujito/youtubeUnbl…), которое направлено только на ютуб.
Также для Windows существует GoodbyeDPI от ValdikSS (github.com/ValdikSS/GoodbyeDPI), под линукс еще есть zapret (github.com/bol-van/zapret).
Существует ByeDPI (github.com/hufrea/byedpi), который работает как прокси (Windows/Linux). Также есть версия ByeDPI под андроид (github.com/dovecoteescapee/Bye…), работает как "фейковый впн".

A quick OptiSpeech update.
I started a training run last Friday in an Azure VM donated by a friend from India.
I implemented pitch control, which is analogous to inflection setting found in other TTS systems.
A demo website is coming soon that allows you to try the model with your own text.

WARNING THE MODEL IS STILL IN EARLY TRAINING. Only 190K steps, target is 1M steps.

I have been working on getting Toby Doom using TTS in Windows. Using Powershell, and it is actually coming along quite nicely. Powershell has some nifty features. It's not bash, but not too bad nonetheless. To follow progress, there is this topic on the audiogames.net forum.

Push for CalDAV and CardDAV is getting real 😃 We're opening a new chapter of high-speed syncing for the whole open WebDAV/CalDAV/CardDAV ecosystem.

If you want to be the first of the first trying it out yourself you shouldn't miss @nextcloud Conference (Sept. 14 + 15 in Berlin) this year where we'll be revealing this to a broader audience for the very first time!

We needed to integrate a NextCloud server lately. Could you point me to some documents, what the benefits are? We implemented also document management systems based on 'traditional' HTTPS methods or SFTP and I think I miss some of the benefits WebDav provides? It took us more time to understand these methods and if the port is not an issue, SFTP is also quite straight forward? Don't get me wrong - I am sure you know what you do, I just want to understand it 😅

Thank you, I have read this part. Still, I struggle to understand it. We did apps for DMS, which could do all CRUD actions based on JSON and standard HTTPS methods.
The benefit of a protocol is to not have the dependency on a specific implementation of a vendor? So, any WebDav supporting server could be used by the same client implementation, right? Sorry, if I ask stupid questions.

A massive thanks to @davetaylor2112 for alerting me to the UK train ifo app for iOS, 'Nearly Departed.'
Why I didn't know about this or use it sooner is beyond me. It was invaluable yesterday. They also explicitly mention #VoiceOver on the main page, so props to them for that.

I've seen a few people talking the new "Zen" browser, which is based off of Firefox instead of being yet another Chromium variant.

So I checked out their website[1]... the first big image shows a collection of browser windows. One is being used to browse birdsite, while the other is on GitHub's home page with a tagline "The world's leading AI-powered developer platform".

Their header has a "Useful Links" section which points to

1. Their privacy policy
2. Their **discord**

Then I looked at their privacy policy and apparently if you want to contact the dev team your options are:

1. again, their discord
2. github

Así que puede que toda esta aventura de la IA generativa termine con un resultado negativo neto: empresas dañadas y quebradas o compradas de saldo, despidos generalizados, consumo de energía y emisiones muy por encima de lo previsto y todo un sector, el de los trabajadores creativos, diezmado y buscando trabajos de reponedor en un híper, donde competirán (con éxito esta vez, veréis, la pobreza es muy dinámica) con la ola de robots humaniformes.
