Ich habe, bevor @k9mail von @mozilla für @thunderbird übernommen wurde, immer monatlich über GitHub unterstützt. Da ich k9 weiterhin nutze, ging die Spende dieses Jahr an Mozilla. Das ist echt einfach gemacht in der App, schwupps über G-Pay. Ich konnte endlich mal die Gutscheine einlösen.

@Dustwin They're separate apps. You can import account settings data into Thunderbird from K-9 Mail so don't delete K-9 Mail until you've had the chance to do that!

ya pretty cool but unlikely to work - the author said his goal was to influence compiler builders ... you know we get most of the way to memory safety with a few gcc/clang extensions and some mem safe drop in libs (maybe using some of libcurls nice funcs) ... no comment on usage of GC and special runtime
it could still work for special occasions to really minimize the risk of memory problems without having to port code. After all, it's a new project and it can already do much.

Za nějaký český PeerTube server bych se přimlouval. S tím bych klidně pomohl, alespoň finančně. Třeba bych Petra s jeho Městskou cyklistikou přemluvil, aby byl i tady ve Fediverse. Ale je to trochu závazek. Nějaká dlouhodobost instance je podle mě důležitější než u Mastodonu. Nikdo velice netrvá na tom, aby byly jejich plky na Mastodonu dlouhodobě dostupné, ale u videí to je jiné, to se bere tak trochu jako archiv, ke kterému se lidi vrací.

I’d be more receptive to this (publication and) article and author (I’m still boosting it) if as an artist I weren’t so totally disgusted by their use of an AI generated image that harms the livelihood of creatives, to complain about AI harming the livelihood of tech people. Edit - If this was done by the publication without the authors input even worse.
Sometimes I wonder whether this is the result of well-meaning folk who don’t know what they’re doing. Other times I wonder whether there are deliberate attempts to poison and overwhelm the volunteer-driven, open, accessible, valuable-but-not-profitable Internet.
