in reply to feld • • •@matthew we had a chat before we opened our cafe about possibly being a Wonderstate cafe and my wife could operate a commercial bakery to provide all the products to their cafes but it wasn't a good fit at the time
My wife's scones, cookies, and cupcakes blow away the stuff sold in coffee shops. She has some very refined recipes.

A few of the remaining privacy checkboxes that concern people are going to be taken care of soon, and then they'll have to invent new reasons why it's not secure enough
Meanwhile they'll keep telling people they should use Signal which only makes sense if you can actually access Signal in your country. "The best" tool being designed in a way that makes it impossible to use by people who need it most is pretty goddamn stupid
