Oh well. My current #ttrpg campaign I might have crashed, but at least this means I can fantasize about new campaigns I want to run.

One recurring problem of running campaigns at my age (late 40s) is that it is hard to find a group where everyone can consistently show up for every session - we all tend to have different obligations.

So ideally you want to have a campaign framework where each player character has some excuse for being absent for any given adventure - and yet there should be some justification for why they can jump back in during the next session.

This pretty much rules "epic quests" with lots of travel out. In the past, I've ran campaigns where the PCs have a specific home base and explored their surrounding area. But I am curious how you handled the problem.

To my last boost. Please boost this for wide spread. This is an opportunity for #braille dice sets to enter the realm of #mainstream and mass manufacturing. I haven't been able to read of full set of #dice as a #TTRPG player in 20 years since I went #blind. Roadhouse Endgame: I was talking to my mom about cardassians and said something along the lines of ‘what must it be like to be a cardassian civilian. like abstractly knowing the rest of the galaxy thinks of your species as ‘the evil ones’ and kinda sorta knowing your government runs labor camps and torture prisons and is a military empire, and it’s a huge deal for everyone else in the galaxy, but you just like run a restaurant so it’s not a big part of your daily life, so you just like, go about your day and make soup and don’t think about it’ and then halfway through my sentence I actually heard myself and then had to go sit down for like ten minutes. like sat down in a chair and stared at the floor for ten minutes

Right now, I am musing how a traditional "treasure chest" full of gold and silver coins and gems and jewelry and whatnot would actually be worth in modern currency (Euros, by preference).

To be precise, what it would be worth _before_ paying for legal fees and/or bribes, black market markup, and all the other things that could get PCs into trouble. 😁
