Schon witzig, wie jetzt alle über die Gefahr für Frauen Zuhause sprechen, wo doch seit eineinhalb Jahren etwa so getan wird, als könnten wir Frauen wegen der ganzen Flüchtlinge nicht auf die Straße.
Die Gefahr lauert Zuhause. Bei Karlheinz, Jürgen und Thomas, bei Matthias, Peter und bei Hakim oder Mustafa.
Der Schutz von Frauen ist morgen dann wieder nicht so wichtig und wird weiter nur dafür instrumentalisiert, um Flüchtlinge zu diffamieren und Frauen Angst vor dem Draußen zu machen.

TIL that if you have the Proton experimental version installed, and something called Proton Voice Files in your library, and games are set to start with Proton experimental, games like Sequence Storm just come up talking on the Steam Deck. Can't seem to give non-Steam links for the above because I can't find Proton Voice Files in the web store.
One minor to major bummer, depending on your perspective, is that it uses Piper for speech, so if you speed up TTS then you get all the associated bummers with speeding up Piper--namely, it mimics someone actually talking fast, meaning the voice mumbles and stops enunciating rather than just speeding up synthesis.
And that's about all I know about this, so no follow-up questions please. Working on packaging this up in an easy installation script that checks for and opens dependencies in Steam for you--I don't think I can automate the actual installation.
Upcoming plans: Installing NVDA into game prefixes and maybe swapping out the Proton voice.
I don't know how we can convince boomers (# notall) that saving the planet is more important than paying the debt. Ugh

Youtube recommended a video to me about Windows Sandbox. I have never tried this before. Is it accessible? Obviously, it's a Windows VM, so I could put NVDA on it. But my questions are:
* Does it inherit my current Windows apps and settings, meaning it would start with NVDA already ready to go?
* How do I control focus, so I can determine if my host or sandbox will receive keyboard input?
I don't know if I'll ever need this, but it's a great tool to keep in mind.
