The desire to replace writers with AI is a symptom of the larger problem that the guild is fighting for—which is that companies do not value writers and their work.
Then I began tooting my #music and a ton of #puns #jokes, and #memes. And you all responded so genuinely, and with such positivity, that I very quickly was made to feel at home.
My deepest gratitude goes out to the #Mastodon community, a #community that has literally improved the quality of my time on this spinning rock as it hurtles through space, towards a future that seems more uncertain every day. It’s unlike any other “social media platform” here.

Němci udělají měsíční jízdenku za 49€ a od úterý všechna rádia i televize o tom mluví jako o mega cool akci. Po celém Mnichově jsou billboardy s reklamou. Tak nějak se myslím má komunikace dělat. U nás, když vláda něco udělá pro lidi, tak to zveřejní maximálně na Twitteru.
Nevím jak v Německu, ale billboardy u nás mi nepřijdou ideální (smog, mafie) a hledal bych jiné kanály (viz zmíněné). Jinak fajn a rád bych viděl takovou podporu HD i u nás.
@jackc Jde jen o princip. Když něco udělají dobrého pro lidi, tak se to snaží pořádně ukázat všem. Jinak u nás ty billboardy jsou asi fakt nic moc, to je pravda.
@brabitom Já to spíš myslel skrze komunikace. Zase vypustit něco na Twitteru, je sice zadara, ale moc lidí o tom vědět nebude 🤷🏼♂️ Na druhou stranu, Němcům ani elektřinu nezastropovali a nafta tady stala 2.50. Třeba to bude dobré o skrze ekologii. Lidi jezdí do práce víc vlakem.
Nedávno jsem v podcastu Chyba systému na Plusu slyšel, že vláda má další problém v komunikaci. Že neumí chválit klasické dělnické profese tak, jak to dělali komunisti dřív. Představ si třeba československé filmové týdeníky, kde se chválilo kde co. Teď to tady lidem třeba z hornické profese může chybět. Skvěle to naopak dělá Polsko, ale tamní TVP je spíš propagandistická než provládní.
@fabia_man No já ty týdeníky zažil, ten snad nikomu nechybí. Třeba v rádiu to není reklama, ale přímo moderátoři o tom mluví, no i ty to mohou mít zaplacený pravda. Hlavně nikde nevidíš politiky vyfocený s tiketem jak by bylo za Babiše. 😀 Pro starší lidi myslím ta komunikace naší vlády moc dobrá není a využívá toho právě Bureš a Okamura.
@fabia_man Jako komunikaci u nás měl zmáknutou jen Babiš, to je asi ta jedna věc na něm pozitivní. Myslel jsem, že se naši chlapci poučí, ale je to marný, je to marný a nevěřím, že se to zlepší.

Funny, but quite a few blind people are starting to avoid Facebook and Instagram. Just mentioning this because it would be sad for some blind people to miss out on these testamonials.
We've had a great response to the plan for these testimonials, and enthusiasm for them here on Mastodon. I want to reiterate that the idea was never to exclude everyone here, and given the response, we definitely will post them here on Mastodon as well - no need to go to another platform!
Hi, question. I've read about the new add on store that's in the works. I'm also reading that the add on updater is being discontinued. Will the new store have an easy way to check for/apply updates to add ons?
@Faylen Hi Christy, yes it will - some of the announcements about it are a little premature - but we are working hard and extensively testing it to make sure the experience will be smooth for users. We'll have lots more information on it as it gets closer to release.
