Excellent call by @openstreetmap! I've been using Debian for around 7 years now - stable on workstation and server, testing on laptop due to newer hardware - and find it less convoluted than many of the forks. Particularly Ubuntu which just baffles me at times.

Couldn't the #pgp #encryption in @thunderbird@mastodon.online be set so that a user who has not set up their own pgp key can still send encrypted mails to recipients whose key can be retrieved from the #WKD?
@FediVerseExplorer How do you think @Thunderbird: Free Your Inbox should handle this? Should one time key pair be Generated? I think it would break ability to read replies encrypted to such messages.
True, but #Thunderbird has gone to lengths to try and make sure that #e2ee either works completely, or not at all. I don't think they'd be on board with one-way encryption.
It's risky to allow one-way encryption, since the reply will (likely) quote the email and reveal stuff. Maybe we need Thunderbird to nudge people into enrolling in WKD.
I agree. but sometimes it would be very helpful if users could encrypt sensitive information with one-way encryption without having to deal with pgp setup themselves. With WKD of the receiver, this is relatively easy for inexperienced users to accomplish.
For sending a encrypted E-Mail, only the public key of the recipient is necessary, so far I know. But Thunderbird dosn't allow to activate encryption, if the sender hasn't a key...

So, I've long argued that all of software dev's dysfunctions can be traced to the fact that business outcomes do not depend on software quality, design, or reliability. As long as this dynamic continues the software we use will only get worse
Any ideas about what it would take to make business outcomes depend on software quality? It seems to me that it doesn't naturally happen at small, bootstrapped software companies either, since building a great product isn't sufficient or arguably even necessary to earn sales.

This is mostly a bugfix release dealing with the most annoying issues you reported (e.g. the lack of management for expired tokens, accessibility issues, post editing with markup). Plus, since I've been adding a lot of unit tests, some minor bugs (e.g. direct messages pagination) were resolved too.
I'll keep populating the backlog with what you report and I'll continue to add tests to increase coverage.

@tritol128 Zrovna dneska na mě po cestě ze zadu nepříjemně najíždělo auto. Taková každodenní situace. Jedu za autem, a vedle se tlačí auto ze zadu nepříjemně blízko. I když mě nemá kam předjet, protože jedu hned za jiným autem. Pořád se tlačí vlevo vedle mě a blížíme se k zúžení kvůli ostrůvku pro chodce. A tak zpomalím a nechám ho jet, protože tihle předjížděči mě raději vytlačí než aby sami zpomalili. A ejhle, ono to bylo auto policejní...
@tritol128 nahrávám. Na staré gopro. ALe asi budu potřebovat něco s 360 rozhledem, protože ani rybí oko tohle na řidítkách nevidí. A ještě bych to mohl využít na záznamy do mapillary. 🤔
